Home made bread at the touch of a button? Not quite. Whilst the smell of home made bread is irresistable to most everyone, this machine has a few drawbacks. If you follow the recipes in the book to the letter, you will end up with an over-risen over-sweet dough. My advice, leave the sugar out. It'll taste much more like "normal" bread, and is really only there as insurance. Be careful not to scratch the paddle or slice through it as it tends to stay stuck in the bottom of the loaf. You need to make sure also, that the pan is cleaned thoroughly and isn't left to soak or the paddle sticks and won't go round. With a little bit of persuasion you can get it moving again.
I have made good use of my machine for about 4 years, but the seal on the bottom of the pan has finally given up the ghost. It is simple to use, and there are several quite nice recipes in the book. With a bit of practice you'll have nice bread whenever you need it.
