Advantages: Large Volume, 3 Temp Settings, Nice Aesthetics and Design Disadvantages: A few stipulations regarding foods that can be cooked and how to use the cooker, although these are general to Slow Cookers and not this model alone
This cooker comprises of a nice stainless steel outer shell, a big / heavy, sturdy ceramic inner pot and a toughened glass lid. Would tie in nicely if you have stainless steel / chrome appliances.
The removable ceramic pot has a capacity to 6.5ltr to the brim, with a recommended working capacity of 4.5ltr, plenty big enough to feed 4-6 people. The pot is dishwasher safe and can easily be transported to the table for serving.

The reason I bought a slow cooker was so I could make some tasty meals, with little to no effort, and not have to hover around the hob for ages stirring dishes. Also the fact I could put something on before work, then have a nicely cooked meal for when I got home, sold it to me.
This slow cooker has 3 temperature settings; Low, Medium and High. Thus you can cook meals in 4 hours, or leave them longer for say 10 hours to give a genuine slow cooked flavour.
There are so many dishes that can be prepared in a slow cooker, recipes available on the net, in specialist slow cooking recipe books and there are a few included in the Instruction Booklet. You can make Curries, Soups, Casseroles, Stews, Puddings, Chillies etc.. Just give it a try and you'll be amazed.
There are a number of recommendations in the instructions, in regards to cooking methods. The heaviest root vegetables should be placed at the bottom of the pot with meat at the top, any stocks or liquids added should already be heated / boiling (as not to crack the pot or to slow the cooking time too much). Meat should be sealed / browned and you should take the lid off as little as possible during cooking, as heat will escape and add to the cooking time.I would definitely recommend this product. It looks good, has a large capacity, and if you lack time to cook a proper meal just throw the ingredients into this and leave it whilst you tend to more pressing needs. Also slow cooking certain dishes makes them taste even better.
Advantages: Cheap to run, easy to use, multi functional and gives tender results every time Disadvantages: Starting off finding whatyou can put in it.
Having been told by a friend to buy a slow cooker as it would help with time saving, as my other half works odd shifts and I work normal hours, so we rarely eat together, I thought I would give it a go, now I cook everything in it and there is no stopping me, from a cheap piece of meat you can turn out fantastic receipes with very little effort, just a little bit of prep at the begining. I use it for puddings as well as savoury dinners. After placing ... ...the crock (this is the ceramic part of the pot, thats easily washed in the dishwasher!) you simply put the lid on and switch on, wait at least 4 hours however I leave mine all day and the longer the better really, then depending on what you are having add your dumplings or potatoes an hour before serving and viola! you have a complete meal with little effort. I have found that cheap meat -ie. Brisket/Shoulder/Skrag etc works so well in the slow cooker ...

** IN CONCLUSION?
As I said I have used slow cookers for some time now and find that the finished results have a taste of there own, the food being succulent, almost melting in the mouth, so when I came across the MorphyRichards ?crockpot? on offer I jumped at the chance to buy it as my ?Tesco? special had had its day.
I have now owned this one for a while now and it has helped me feed my family many time over, especially during the good old English winters we have to endure.
It is so easy to use that an arthritic monkey could manage to make a meal in it, it ...

~~~~What makes this one special?~~~~
MorphyRichards is a fairly well known and generally reputable quality brand, and when on the lookout for a large oval replacement for my smaller round slow cooker, I was attracted to this one due to its looks, brand reputation, price, and simplicity of design.
The outer case is polished stainless steel with a black dial and handles, one to each end of the oval. The dial has three ...
