As always, I like to start my review about the packaging and how well it is boxed. Unfortunatly I cannot do this, this time because my very dear mother gave me this steamer for free (she had won it in a prize draw). She already had taken it out of the box and thrown some of it away. I am not going to complain though.
So lets start with the looks of it first then. Sitting on the worktop it looks like a babies steraliser unit on the top with a radio on the bottom. The top three compartments(which is all one but divided into three) are see through blue with two at the front and one wide one at the back. The base looks like a brushed metal/silver finish. On the blue screen you can set the different containers for different steaming events and can be set so they all finish at the same time so you dont have to keep things warm waiting ...

I have had my original MorphyRichards breadmaker for two years and it was still in good working order but when I saw a new model in Robert Dyas, I had to go and investigate. The new model on display was boasting a drop down paddle which meant no more gaping holes in your bread after you have removed it from the tin. That has to be a plus!
The fact that the price had been reduced from £70 to just under £50 swayed my decision. My current which model could be passed onto a grateful family member.
