Morrisons is certainly not an 8/10 in my eyes. I got called for an interview at my local Morrisons and the next day I was contacted to go to an induction day but I couldn't make the arranged date. There was one the week after to which I'd said I'd go to. During the 2 week period up to the induction day I got a letter from Morrisons saying I'd failed the interview despite the phone call. Turned out they'd given my job over to someone else in the mean time and I got landed with leftovers. My pay was late due to their incompetence at handling my data and when I did get paid it seemed they'd owed me a month and a half's wage! They didn't even have the correct uniform for us and I have only just received it in January when I started work in September. As a part time job, I'd expected it to be quite easygoing but staff morale is terrible and often the older staff have a tendency for meglomania as I was told I wasn't allowed to talk to anyone. I was asked to work extra time and I agreed but one of the said meglomaniacs had me working on tins which, as a female, are particularly hard to handle and I even got customers telling me to be careful when lifting such heavy equipment! I can wholeheartedly recommend to look elsewhere for work. During my employment, 3 people that I know (because fellow employees are a little bit insular) quit the job after a mere 2 months, or in one girl's case, after doing 2 days of the job. I give Morrisons a 1 for the sole reason of good bakers but as for employment? Look elsewhere!
