Disadvantages Disadvantages Not as many beans as other brands in the tin; lots and lots of sauce; small beans

Morrisons Value Beans ~ TASTY . . . But Not "Full of Beans" ! ORIGINAL TITLE: Would These Value Beans Contain Alcohol or Tobacco Products? * Of Course Not! . . . see pictures below! I don't normally shop at Morrisons, as there is not one in easy distance, and the few times we have gone shopping there we have not been impressed with either the quality or the bargains. My eldest daughter lives with her husband and four children in a Community House belonging to our church. They often are given odd selections of food: tins, short-dated wholefoods, jam, honey, lactose-free and gluten-free items ... more

Advantages Advantages Good for you; Cheap; Tasty

Disadvantages Disadvantages I would rather not say in polite company!

Why beans? Yes, we all know the rhymes about the unfortunate digestive effects of baked beans! Perhaps it was for this reason or quite simply that we now struggle to believe that a decent meal can come in a can (unlike the 1900s when it was upper class chic to serve canned food!), but we do tend to turn up our noses at baked beans. No more! Top food science guys such as BBC Sport Academy nutritionist Matt Lovell actually advocate that baked beans can help you live longer. Research done in the USA found that the goodies found in many vegetables, fruits, and red wine are also found in the skin ... more

=Morrison's Value Baked Beans I usually try most things that are in the value range be it Tesco or Morrison's but I have to say I was a little wary when trying the Morrison's value baked beans as the Tesco Value ones are totally vile and I would never eat them or buy them again. However seeing as these only cost a mere 29p for a large can I decided there wasn't that much to lose and I am so glad I did as they are possibly the best beans I have eaten! I often find that the Heniz and the Branston beans have a rather thick sauce where as this Morrison's value does have a slightly thinner ... more

I usually shop in Tesco ‘s its in a more convenient location but the other week I shopped at Morrison’s One of the items I needed was some baked beans I had heard good reports about the Morrison’s cheap value range so bought some for 26p a tin . The Tesco beans are 29p a tin. There are 420 g in each tin. This Morrison’s tin has a yellow label on it with the green words Morrison’s value written on it. So one night I removed the baked beans from my store cupboard and opened them with my trusty tin opener. No easy ring pull on the value can however it was easy with my tin opener. These smelt ... more
