Right, while the owners away the cat will play.
I am Ellie, and I have seen my owner - known to you as `garageroom` - sitting at this little black box writing with those long skinny things you call fingers.Well, shes gone out, and now its my turn to let you all out there know what is important - cat food!
I have spent many of my 12 years being subjected to all ranges of food that I am expected to be overjoyed about. But hey, Im getting on and Ive only got 3 teeth left so you have no chance with that dried stuff unless you want to chew it up for me first.
As for those tins - you open it one day, then 2 days later expect me still to eat food from the same tin! Come on, Im a lady in my prime and should be having salmon served to me by a young tabby male with a firm stomach and muscular hind legs - no wonder I scratched your furniture to bits - you just didnt seem to understand that I need fresh food everyday.
We then progressed to almost perfection - all those little silver packets of food. Bliss ! Fresh food every meal and I even conned my owner to feeding me a full one but eating half a packet straight up and sitting waving my front paw in the air for more. ( Easy trick - they think Im cute and clever and I think they are suckers !)
But then I noticed that the food started to become jelly, jelly and more jelly. Nice as it is and very easy on my 3 teeth - but a girl like me needs her protein- how else can I be expected to get the energy to sleep for 12 hours a day ? In protest I would lick all the jelly off and leave the lumps, managing to throw them all over the floor . A girls got to do what a girls got to do.
Well, a few weeks ago I noticed a change. Firstly the packets looked different - more blue and less silver. My dodgy old heart nearly stopped - what was she forcing me to eat now ????I know I was sick on the new rug but thats what cats do ! I was just about to rung for the phone ( I can reach the one in the bedroom although I have to concentrate to dial as the buttons are a bit small for my paws) to ring the RSPCA yet again when I stopped in my tracks. What was this in my bowl ?? It was soft and meaty...and where was that awful cat food smell ??? I decided to give it a taste....well, this really got my senses going. It tasted so good that I cleaned my bowl out all in one go . No lumps left with this stuff - infact give me more !
Well, I checked out the box. It was `My Cat` sachets from Morrisons supermarket. The box was, well , rather unappealing. Blue and white with a rather too clean cat with its nose in the air and tail at an absurd angle on the front. Why dont they ask me to model ?? I would even try to get the lumps out of my long fur !!! Inside are 12 x 100g packs of food - 6 of chicken and turkey in jelly and 6 of slamon and tuna. I would like more choice ideally but as long as they get rotated every meal I cant complain. Whilst both look similar in my bowl - the fishy one is slightly paler - both are as good as each other. The packs are either yellow (meat) or blue(fish) so it is easy for my owner to select - although the same cat with nose and tail up on the packet. They are easy for my owner to open and all the food slides out in one go. I have noticed my owner does soften it up before opening - but I think thats just because she is lazy and cant be bothered to get a fork to mix it up for me.
Now, I think I am worth every penny spent on me (yes, even the £100s on vets bills) and I do expect a certain standard in the household, but this does seem to be excellent value for money. I did hear my owner say that she can get 3 boxes of these for the price of 2 of the old brand ..which means that I cant be fed 3 times a day now !
Also, with the money spent she can buy me a new bed. Grey fur is so last year - if I keep sleeping on her bed and leaving dirt and leaves everywhere perhaps she will get the hint.
Must go now - owner will be back soon . Cats and owners out there - spread the word, this cat food is good and we cats like it !!
Advantages: she eats the lot, economically priced Disadvantages: none that I've found
...priced cat food and spotted Morrisons own brand "My Cat" multipacks tucked away on the bottom supermarket shelf, beneath the more expensive brands. There were special, flashed packs, priced at £1.89 for six big (400g) tins instead of its usual £1.99. Individual tins were also available, but worked out a lot more expensive. There were several packs to choose from, but for our tabby it had to be 'in jelly'. Our ex-wild, ex-rescue cat just won't touch ... ...top, there's a little yellow Morrisons logo and motto "Quality and value", below this is a large deep reddish brown heart shape with the larger words "My Cat" superimposed in white. Directly beneath this is a yellow flash containing the red words "Fine Cuts in Jelly". An image of a green-eyed grey tabby lies there facing me with, to its left (my right) a turquoise circle containing in white print the variety contained in the tin, in this case I'm ...

...yellow very clearly by the morrisons logo and the My Cat logo. The lid has a ring pull for easiness too !
The meat is described as Fine cuts in jelly. The tin size is the average 400g. The recommended feeding of this size tin is half to one full tin daily depending on the size and activity of your cat.Obviously each cat has its own eating habits so dont take my word as gospel! So the food!.... the tin I have in front of me is Salmon and Tuna! On ... ...in a beigey coloured jelly. The chunks look like the colour of pork. Obviously it does not resemble fish in the slightest, but as the tin says a minimum of 8% fish, you are lead to understand that this is pretty man made! Meat and Animal derivatives are the main ingredients which, I must admit made me think about eyeballs and testicles and euch things!!! It sort of made me worry too when I saw 3% of the food was made up of Ash! If anyone wants to ...

Advantages: My extremely fussy cat likes it, cheap Disadvantages: The nearest morrisons is about 6 miles away
...On a shopping trip to Morrisons I noticed that they had their own brand of cat food and that we hadn't yet tried her on it, so it was worth a try and at 39p a can, or £1.89 for a 6 pack of 3 different tempting fishy flavours if she decided she liked it it wasn't going to break the bank.
There is a meaty selection pack and fishy one, I opted for the fishy one as the flavours sounded quite tempting even to me a mere human! In the multi pack you get ... ...and Mackerel & coley.
They are descibed as "select cuts in sauce" another reason for my deciding to give them a go, Tizzy likes to lick the sauce from the meat before leaving it! The tins have a mainly blue label with a picture of a silver grey Tabby cat and the flavour in a little coloured circle. The reverse of the label tells you this is a complete pet food for cats ande that an average cat will eat between 1/2 to 1 can per day. I also give my ...

Advantages: Good quality food that the cats enjoy Disadvantages: None left over for the dog!
...read several good reports of Morrisons My Cat cat food before I actually bought any. We cat lovers all know just how finicky they can be and I am sure a lot of people share my dislike of waste and prefer to buy the tried and tested versions. I took the plunge one day and bought a single tin just to see what the reaction would be. I have to admit that it was very favourable so more tins followed.
Morrisons have a very good variety of flavours and ... ...Cuts in Jelly (both meat and fish) or Cuts in Gravy. They come singly or in packs of six which cost £1.88. I believe there are also packs of twelve at three pounds something too. These multi packs have two each of three flavours (obviously more in the twelve packs). The ones I bought today are Beef and Kidney, Lamb and Chicken and Trout and Shrimp. These are all fine cuts in jelly as this is the variety favoured by my cats. Luckily there are two ...

Advantages: None Disadvantages: My cats did not like it at all
As we are on a tight budget at the moment, I decided to try My Cat Complete Dry Food. I have bought supermarket brand cat food before and they enjoyed it.
I use a gravity feeder and waited until it was empty before filling it up. The next morning the feeder was in the middle of the kitchen floor and most of the biscuits had been emptied over the floor. I thought someone had kicked it by accident. This happened again the next morning, to my dismay ...

*************What does it cost************
As the regular price of this is around £5 a pack this is not a cheap choice of food for your cat and in my opinion would have to be extra special to justify the high price.
I purchased my pack at the cost of £3.99 on a promotion in Morrisons.
**************The trial***************
My spoilt, elderly cats have been eating Whiskas Oh so fishy and Oh so meaty for some months now with an occasional pouch of standard Whiskas. They are quite fussy but as they do enjoy Iams dry food as an addition to their regular meals.
I didn't anticipate any difficulties with them eating this.
Opening the pack was quite easy,The top flap at the side lifted easily and the other flaps folded back for ready access to the pouches.
The pouches themselves opened easily with place to tear marked clearly ...

maintain your cats urinary tract
2 - Omega 3 and 6 - this is to help support healthy skin and give your cat a shiny coat
3 - Multigrain - to smooth and balance your cats natural metabolism
There are loads of advantages to feeding this to your cat as you can see and these are just a few of them. Mycat loves his meal times now - I just think that this must be tastier than other brands of dry cat food, having never tasted it myself I just have to go on mycats reaction and he seems to love it :)
=Where can you buy it
You can buy Iams dry cat food at pretty much any Supermarket such as Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and so on. I personally do most of my shopping at Asda but sometimes buy this from pets at home which luckily for me is very close to one of my local asda's.
=How Much does it cost=
Well it's certainly ...
