    My Mate Marmite, you either love it or you hate it. I'm a marmite lover (hubby isn't), but I'm not averse to trying the supermarket own brand equivalent yeast extracts. I quite like Tesco’s yeast extract which has parsley extract in it. So when we started shopping at Morrisons I thought I’d give theirs a whirl at £1.69 for 240g I thought I couldn’t go wrong. Here’s the comparison: SMELL On opening the Morrisons yeast extract the smell is very beefy, despite being a vegetarian product. With Marmite the smell is more beer with a hint of beef.
