Full review
If anyone was to buy an MK game, you have to make it this one. While this game could just be another Mortal Kombat game, Midway (I thinks it's Midway) decided to go all out and produce a superb fighter with every Mortal Kombat person you grew up with. Except for Khameleon, but who really cares about her!

STORY
There are too many strong kombatants in the world. It was prophesied by an Edenian sorceress that they would cause armageddon and destroy all life as we know it. So in order to prevent this, this sorceress created an elemental named Blaze who possessed godlike powers. When one of the sorceress' two sons defeats Blaze in Mortal Kombat, Armageddon will be prevented. However, should any of the kombatants defeat Blaze, they will get amazing powers to use as they see fit. It's the final battle people, it truly is the Armageddon.

GRAPHICS
The graphics are exactly like Deadly Alliance and Deception. In fact they took the same character models from those games and put them in here. I won't complain as it still looks really damn good. You'll see amazing backgrounds with tons of detail, all kinds of horrific and sometimes hilarious fatalities, and an awesome opening video I must say. It involves one of the coolest battles ever.

SOUND
The audio sounds as it always does as well. Some great voice acting, tons of fighting type sounds, it's exactly what you expect. I thought the voice acting was much better in the Konquest mode as opposed to the previous games. It looks great and it sounds the same.

GAMEPLAY
This game is going to be the last Mortal Kombat to feature fan favourites like Shang Tsung and Liu Kang and many others. The next gen games are starting off fresh. So does this franchise go out with a bang? You better believe it. EVERY Mortal Kombat character is in this game. You can even play as the big bad boss characters like Goro and Onaga. Even the final boss is unlockable. With over 60 different characters, most of which are cool, you're gonna love the roster in this game.

And even if you don't you can actually create your own! They've added that feature and I must say it wasn't just an add on. You can literally customize your move sets, and there are tons of different clothing options to prevent clones from battling online. Oh and this game's online. Already the game succeeds, but wait I'll mention some more reasons. They've made fatalities much more simpler and easier to get into. Now all you have to do is push like 2 directions and a button and you can create a fatality move.

If you can make many more moves before the timer ends, you can make a giant fatality chain that will net you more coins and make you look really cool. While not having character specific fatalities may suck a little, I didn't mind at all. You can still rip off torsos, rip off arms, snap necks, pull out spines, etc. The fighting is superb. The game has more to it though. They've brought back Konquest mode which consists of you playing as Taven, who is the son of the Edenian sorceress I mentioned earlier.

Like MK: Shaolin Monks, it's an adventure game where you travel around, beat up groups of bad guys and learn more of the story behind what's going on. It never feels repetitive, it's a ton of fun, and the story kept me hooked. They also added a kart driving game. Oh you heard right. Motor Kombat is a section of the game which involves 10 or so big headed MK characters in cartoony cars, racing on special tracks complete with boosts and powerups. It's fun to play, and it can be played online as well. I just wish it had a tournament or something, as all you can get from playing it is some Koins.

And Koins (I know it's spelled coins) are used to unlock all kinds of art and videos in The Krypt. This game is huge, it will take up a lot of your time. It has a lot of story issues and not everyone is gonna like the new fatality engine, but I didn't mind at all.

IN THE END...
This is a perfect fighting game. There is nothing funner than sitting down with your friends and watching Scorpion run for his life from a steamroller on a conveyor belt. If you're an MK fan, you owe it to yourself to buy this game immediately. The Armageddon has indeed arrived, and I loved every minute of it.
