Asus P5K Premium review
Review of ASUS P5K Premium/WiFi-AP Black Pearl Special Edition - motherboard - ATX - iP35 by fatnickccash

Advantages: Highly overclockable, nice layout, fairly priced
Disadvantages: Cheaper motherboards are available...

...and the on-board Wi-Fi that Asus has included somewhat justify this price. If you plan to overclock a Core 2 Duo/Quad a lot, this board is perfect, but if you're content with stock speed or small overclocks, you can find motherboards that are more economical for you. The P5K series has many cheaper variants, lacking some of the high-end features of the Premium, such as the P5K-E, which is cheaper and will suit less demanding consumers, or those who ...
...by the P5K Premium, and so the cheaper variants do have their drawbacks. Furthermore, for those for whom money is no object, there are slightly better overclocking boards out there, but often for double the price of the P5K Premium. This edition of the motherboard is also very good looking if you have a case window and adequate lighting. The coloured ports and heatsinks stand out on the black background to look very stylish, as motherboards go. ... Read review

one solid motherboard up to 360 mhz buss speed! Durable, stable, full of features, iv got the am2 longer board version, but this one is basically the same. Has cooling features for the chip sets which is handy for overcloking and it increases life span too. has special power surge protection features on it. Stable bios realeases for newer cpus and has endless overcloking options in the bios. has special options to auto overclock when in demand when ...
...by upto 10% without you having to touch any other settings, it will set the correct voltages etc. you can also set the memory to lower speeds and then overclock the cpu as the RAM increases with cpu overclocks, this is useful for when your RAM holds you back on overclokcing or when your worried about pushing your RAM too much. i set my 800 mhz chips to 667 and pushed the cpu up by 200 mhz, and the speed is up near 825 mhz now on the RAM which is ... Advantages: Advnced.
Disadvantages: Not Finshed.

Asus as a company make some of the best motherboards. They provide quality products at reasonable prices. There boards are some of the most reliable and are manufactured to perfection. So does this board live up to there name? To start with I would like to list the board's specs. ...versions of the BIOS and Asus have been doing all they can to get the issues resolved. The BIOS is really easy to upgrade and can be done using there BIOS Flash tool which can be found by accessing the BIOS and going to the tools tab. The BIOS versions are readily available on there website and it is just the matter of unzipping the files and writing them to CD and using the above mentioned BIOS Flash utility to install the new BIOS. This fixes ... Read review

Asus Crosshair
Review of ASUS CROSSHAIR Republic of Gamers Series - motherboard - ATX - nForce 590 SLI by tommyp1983

Advantages: Lots
Disadvantages: Few

Wow. I love this board. It includes all the standard features you would expect from a board this price, such as duel IDE, 2x pci-e x16, 1x pci-e x4, 3x pci 2.2, with 6 x SATA, RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5 & JBOD, decent chipset (590SLI), good Award bios (which has countless options for manual overclocking, and some preset options for this too), HD soundcard (which i find better than my previous ZS Audigy 2 to produce music), dual Gigabit LAN (can be linked ...
...e-STAT connectors on I/O, LCD poster on I/O (to show errors/time )2x IEEE 1394, onboard LEDs for working on when powered down....but its got more.....the temps kept low (im running only 1 BIG case fan!) because of the large heatpipe that runs around the CPU and chipset, 3x heat sensors, there is a handy block to attach case connectors too before fixing on the board (usually fiddly), plus a windows utility that you can use to flash the bios - easy. ...
