...have tried it and even MSI has verified you cant run DDR2 and DDR consecutively on this board. This would be a hindrance if we were talking about a full ATX board, however one active DIMM isn't really a big issue. In fact, the flexibility between DDR and DDR2 memory is quite welcoming. This is a good little motherboard for its low price. I am currently using it to write this review. I also have an Intel E2180 Pentium Dual core CPU set up and overclocking it was so easy. The board itself was so cheap that i wasn't sure if it would be up to scratch for my new build computer, but it surprised me! ...is easy to overclock using the CPU i have. All the BIOS options are available to gain maximum performance for all components.
