ASUS A8N-E BEST MOTHERBOARD I EVER USED
Review of ASUS A8N-E - motherboard - ATX - nForce4 Ultra by Hi-Spec-Tek

Advantages: EVERY ADVANTAGE, SPEED, RELIABILITY, PERFORMANCE. A GREAT ALROUNDER.
Disadvantages: I COULD FIND NONE

...I purchased TWO of these ASUS A8N-E motherboards and built up two identical systems. One of these I had been using for up to 16 hours per day and that was over two years of many hours of long and hard usage. I have nothing but praise for this model, the speed and reliability has been exemplary all this time. I run both of my PC's at 3% over-clock all the time but have tried 5% too, this I found made the PC unstable and sometimes it would reboot itself ...
...of my PC's using the ASUS A8N-E running for up to 16 hours per day over more than 2 years deserved a break! Well I cannot be certain that it was the motherboard that gave up but I feel there was an intrusion of some small metallic item, I will never know! I have a second unit of course, the one I am using now, I had changed all the pluggable components such as Graphics card, RAM, CPU, and everything possible but although the board stayed alive, (I ... Review of Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R - motherboard - ATX - iP35 by Closeratio

Advantages: Pretty intuitive BIOS, good overclocking facilities, very in-depth manual
Disadvantages: Some people have had memory issues with this board

...letters as with all new gigabyte motherboards these days. It was packaged in anti-static wrapping (as are all boards) and was separated from the various manuals and booklets by a thinfabric which can also be used to rest the motherboard on when inserting all the components into it. Not much to say about the installation process, everything whent fine and all the component fit in the way they should do. The 8 Sata ports came in useful as I am running ...
...and will no doubt buy more Sata devices in the future so these extra ports allow more room for expansion. There is also an IDE socket for any older hard drives or optical drives. The motherboard also came with numerous documents and stockers, as well as 8 sata cables, 1 IDE cable (with both a master and a slave slot if you wish to run two devices through this), an e-sata plate with a cable which plugs into one of tha sata ports on the motherboard ... Disadvantages: graphics card obscures one of the pci express slots

...We decided on the Gigabyte GA-945P-DS3 purely on the features it offered. Cost Around £46. For a motherboard this is good. Features Width: 30.5 cm Depth: 19.3 cm Compatible Processors: Pentium 4, Celeron D, Pentium D, Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Extreme 64-bit Processors Compatibility: Built-in Processor Socket: LGA775 Socket Multi-Core Support: Dual-Core FSB Speed: 1066 MHz Max Power Connectors: 4-pin ATX12V connector, 24-pin main power connector ...
...pci slots, 1pci express x 16, 3 pci x 1 takes up to 4 gb of ddr2 memory Has on board audio which is great as it supports up to 8 channel audio. Fitting Was simply a job of lining the screw holes up in the case but make sure you are earthed as it is so easy to fry a motherboard! This motherboard has plenty of room for everything and is very well laid out although once you have your graphics card in one of the pci express x 1 slots becomes almost ... Read review
