Advantages Fun bath toy
Disadvantages None
Sometimes it's the simplest toys that are the best and this classic toy, although basic is lots of fun.
My kids love having toys in their bath and this little doggy paddler is one of our favourites. I bought it as a stocking filler for Christmas as its fairly small and only cost £2 from Mothercare. This toy is a cute little dog who is lying on his tummy. He's yellow and has big black floppy ears and googley eyes. He almost looks like a Wallace and Gromet cartoon character. The funniest part is that he is wearing little spotty swimming pants, like a dog would have to wear swimming trunks!!
There is a windup mechanism on his underneath and when you twist this up to full it's his arms that paddle round. When he is in the water it propels him forward. He doesn't go very far but just far enough to be fun for a bath and to keep the kids entertained. My six month old boy thinks he's really fun and laughs when I put him in the water to swim. He doesn't make much of a splash as he's only little but he is fun.I would say the only negative is that a small child couldn't really wind him us as I think the mechanism a bit small for little fingers and it's hard when it's wet anyway but as an adult should always be with kids when they're in the bath it's easy for you to just wind the toy up for them.
A fun little toy.
