When considering which car seat to buy for my son, as everything you need for your new baby adds up, cost was upmost in my list of priorities. The Mothercare Stage 1 car seat was very reasonably priced in comparison to other Stage 1 car seats. I was also very impressed with how lightweight the seat was as my son was born weighing in at 9 lbs 13 ozs, the ease of carrying the seat was a bonus. The design was very attractive and the colours bright and suitable for a girl or boy. The seat was easy to fit in any car with full instructions on how to fit it. The car seat is ideal for anyone wishing to purchase a Stage 1 car seat and only needs to be seen and tried in order to be hooked.
...So I went to Mothercare and bought one from their, the first thing came to be was that it looked safe, and looked easy enough to put into your car. I followed the instructions, and it fit properly, I double-checked as I didn’t want it to be installed wrongly

Advantages: you dont need to disturb baby if they are asleep Disadvantages: very heavy if you have a big baby
Hello,
I had one of these car seats as part of a travel system last year, so I can't tell you how much it would have cost on its own. My travel system in total with bags and raincovers and footmuffs cost £320 so the car seat Was probably around £60 at a wild estimate!
These car seats are great, below are some of the good points that I found below:
* Good looking, they come in tons of trendy designs, just what you want for your newborn baby!
* ... ...from car to house without disturbing them
* quite well padded
* easy to clean, - stick the cover in the washer on a cool wash (see manufacturers instructions first!)
* Easy to change, variable strap length
* 3 point harness
* have a canopy on to shade your baby from all weather (needed very much in UK!)
* Can convert into a first feeding chair
* Can be used as a rocker
* Easy to fit in most cars
* Comfy enough for a newborn to have little ...
