Mothercare Socket Covers

Making sure your home is safe is of paramount importance when having a child and these socket covers have got to be one essential that every home with children living or visiting regularly should have. The fact that they are a cheap item makes it silly not to have them in place and really everyone can afford and should afford to buy them.

Jack has never tried to stick his fingers in the plus sockets but the fact that they are all covered up with these Mothercare socket covers makes it impossible for him to do so anyway! We have tons of plug sockets in our flat and these are all a lot higher up than older build properties. I think because our flat was built more disabled friendly the light switches are lower and these plug sockets are higher making it more accessible for anyone in a wheelchair but also far easier for little fingers to investigate.

The fact that you get 12 of these socket covers in a packet for a reasonable price of £6 means that with one packet I was able to cover all the plug sockets we have that haven't got electrical items already plugged in and have some covers left to take down to Mums.

The cover themselves are made of a chunky white plastic material which is easy to clean and safe to use. They look just like a thin plug as they have the three pins in which to push into the wall with ease. They look okay one in-situ and don't look offensive or out of place at all.

These Mothercare covers fit easily into the plug socket and cover up the parts which small fingers could fit into. They are not too tricky to remove if you need to use the plug socket either and take only a small amount of coaxing to pull out.

Having had these particular socket covers for a good while now I have, on my shopping travels, seen the same item from other retailers at a cheaper price. However the fact of removal needs to be taken into account as some are far easier to pull out than others which is not a great factor when looking to purchase these covers so perhaps spending a little more is worth it. However they are still very cheap and well worth every penny. They are made to a high standard and none have broken or need replacing any time soon.
