Being a first-time mother I was bemused by all the baby stuff I was advised to buy, and was unsure whether to buy a specific baby bath or not. However I was horrified by the thought of leaning right over my bath to hold onto a slippery baby, and putting him in the sink didn't seem right.

The Mothercare Supabath is really great. Most other baths you have away from your normal bath, so potentially get water all over the floor, plus you have to haul the water over to it.

The supabath simply sits on top of your existing bath, the wide 'lips' rest on the long edges of your normal bath, it's quite sturdy. The great thing is you can fill it direct from the taps. After bathing your beloved, you simply pull out the plug and let the water drain into the main bath. What could be simpler?! You don't strain your back, as your baby is the right height, and there's relatively little mess, as any splashes hopefully hit the big bath!

It's a decent size, we used it for the first 5 months, until we'd got our confidence up with supporting him in the big bath.

The only downside is it's rather large to store, but then most baby baths are, and I'm not sure it would fit over a corner bath, probably not.

I'm really glad we bought it, and would recommend the Supabath to anyone.
