After many months of frustration and false starts, we finally managed to successfully potty train our middle son - meaning that he was dry in the day shortly after his third birthday. Having mastered this skill inside the home, we faced a few issues when we were out and about as my three year old was very reluctant to use any other toilets as he hated being held on to the toilet while going about his business!
