"you will want one for yourself."

Mothercare do a lovely range of cots for babies, and to go in them, they also offer a range of bedding. It does help having a cot and bedding of comparable sizes.

The flannelette is not fitted, so you can use it as an under sheet if you want - it is big enough, or as an over sheet. You shouldn't put babies under duvet like coverings as they can get to hot, but blankets tend to wander if you have a baby who wriggles a lot. If you fold the top of the sheet over the blankets you can use it to make them a little bit more secure.

Most sheets are cotton these days, which washes well at high temperatures and has a smooth feel to it. The flanelette sheet is a bit different (and I was amzaed you can still get them, its rather an old fashioned fabric type.)The fabric is a little thicker than cotton, and has a much softer and more snuggly feel to it. As far as I can gather, babies like snuggly things, like to be able to hold something soft and put it against their face.

The sheets wash easily enough and dry only fractionally slower than cotton. They don't crease up as much, so unless you are fanatcial about that sort fo thing, don't bother ironing them. They wear well, being that bit thicker. I think they are also a little more absorbant than cotton, which can help to take the inevitable leaks away from baby's skin.

Mothercare do three sizes of sheet - pram/crib sized (£5.99), cot sized (£8.99) and cot bed sized (12.99) The prices are much the same as other types of sheet (They also offer Flat cotton, cotton jersey, and terry)Obviously, these sizes match Mothercare beds and cots, so it makes sense to get all of your bedding from the same place as you've got your bed, if you can. Otehrwise, there are measurements online and in the catalogue to help you work out what you ened.

I think these are really nice sheets, and my little one would appear to agree as he really loves pulling his up against his cheek so he can enjoy how snuggly and soft it feels. I would recomend them, especially for the winter.

I agree these are nice and snuggly and if you're careful they don't need ironing. KJ

This is a nice idea for a baby shower. I had forgotten about them until I read your review. Lyla
