...on my mum’s insurance via Direct Line. Whilst on her insurance I managed a number of interesting manoeuvres and yet somehow 5 years later she still had a couple years no claims bonus! I bought my new (second-hand) car and then set about insuring it. After all the hundred of comparison adverts on the television I began my search there. I was 25 years old at the time and everywhere was quoting higher then my budget would allow or barely covered me ... ...she told me to call Direct Line for a quote as they’ve always been good to her. It did dawn on me that I hadn’t seen them on any of the compare websites. I had a look on their website and entered all my details. The quote was really good so I phoned the customer phone number to try and make sure the quote was right. Hire car? What hire car??
Advantages: Not even the cheapest on the market Disadvantages: Disorganised and retreats behind policy jargon when they get it wrong

Rang Tesco Insurance and was told that liability had indeed been admitted and that the hire car should have been arranged but no one had faxed this info to the hire car company. cis strung out claim
Advantages: cheap Disadvantages: the worst customer service
i have been with cis for over 10 years and never made claim when i did however it was strung out over two months as the person who was dealing with the claim was never there,sent car keys to them month ago and i still havnt got it back,i had my car stolen,got it back 2 weeks later but with bang on wing and no stereo system, they wouldnt pay a penny,as they said that i could have done that myself,they like to make it very difficult to claim,they hate ...

Not happy!!!!!stay clear and read small pint
Advantages: None Disadvantages: Loads, don't like to pay out for claims
...by high winds, Nationwide and Churchill would not accept his report and said it was then caused by poor maintenance or bad workmanship!
We have contacted the FOS as yet we are still a month later no further to getting this damage repaired.
Please read your small print, as apparently 2 years ago they changed all policies and our now using frost damage to get out of paying for storm damage claims! ...

Witholding NCB Discount Information
Advantages: Nothing worth mentioning Disadvantages: If you don't pay their inflated prices, they withold information data you need.
...on Go Compare, which quoted Swinton 50% cheaper than what they were saying on the phone. When I raided this with 'Mike' the salesman on yet another of his calls, he said he'd match the price - so why was he trying to rob me in the first place. Demanded my documentation and proof of No Claims Bonus but have only received sales rubbish and a higher quote in the post, but BY LAW they have to provide NCB proof but this will only appear after my policy ...
