Autotrader 30th October 2009
Advantages: Clear and good colour scheme Disadvantages: no frames
This is the internet homepage of Autotrader. It was used in a high resolution on the 30th of October 2009.
With a mixture of buttons, drop down menus and text we arrive with a comprehensive search query. Results are presented along the page in answer of your query. The best results are priced realisticaly but on a first impression there will often be many pages of adverts and dealerships which needs a general understanding of what you want before ...

Do you want to be less confused?!
Advantages: Quick easy to use Disadvantages: Not all insurers quote
I have now used confused.com for my car insurance for the last four years to find the cheapest quote. The site is heavily advertised on tv and relies on the fact that you only have to fill in one form to receive quotes from many insurance companies. However, some companies, e.g. Direct Line are now advertising that they are not part of any price checker sites and you therefore need to contact them directly for a quote. However, I used confused recently ... ...and the cheapest was £100 less than my current insurer.
EASE OF USE 5/5
Confused is very easy to use once you get started. Firstly you need to enter your details to register as a confused user. This then means that when you need to renew the insurance next year you can login with your username and password and do not need to fill in all the details again, this is very handy.
The questions are easy to answer even you have not bought the car in ...

www.buyacar.co.uk - use them if you want to be messed around
Advantages: None - well they were cheap Disadvantages: Unreliable. Never call you back. Dont deliver when they say they will. And you will have to chase
From start to finish the service was terrible. Order was accepted and we were told 8-10 weeks. Then around 8 weeks we were told that www.buyacar.co.uk would no long be able to deliver (deposit had been paid). Then they could. Finally received the car 13 weeks after placing the order. HC5 form - www.buyacar.co.uk stated that we would receive it after 6 months. After 7 months nothing and chased it. Finally received it beginning of this week - 8 months ... ...consistently say they will call you back when there are issues but never do so. The only way you will get anything resolved is to call them and chase and chase and chase...... Would never recommend www.buyacar.co.uk to anyone - shame really as they offer great pricing - but honestly - wish we had paid more and just bought the car directly from a main dealer. ...

Blackcircles MD - We certainly are Indepdendent!
Advantages: Independent Disadvantages: Various, but we listen to our customers and make change happen
My name is Michael Welch, I am MD and Founder of Blackcircles.com. I am writing this review in response to the 'not too independent' review posted recently.
I can guarantee all customers and non-customers that we are in fact very independent. Furthermore I can also confirm WE DO NOT incentivise our sales staff on certain products, I should know, I sign off the salaries. Our business has been created to do away with 'favoured' brands unlike the high ... ...complete range catering for all customers based on their preference. I can only assume this post is an attempt to tarnish the good name we are working hard to create - however if not, please email me directly at mikew@blackcircles.com, and I can look into all the claims made in the post in more detail. ...

Not exactly online traders....
Advantages: Cheap, Reliable Disadvantages: Site out of date and unusable
Ok time comes to buy a new car, its a big purchase, a big item with relatively low volume sales, which means that the dealers make a big markup on each vehicle sold. What if one organisation could buy cars from many different manufacturers, avoid the inherent costs of being a franchise of a particular make but sell in enough bulk to be able to offer a good discount.
What if that organisation was able to do it all online, avoid the costs of a showroom, ... ...hundreds of pounds every week they sit on the forecourt. Surely more discount for the customer. Well thats Dixons Motor Group
What if by clever marketting and a (apparently) clever name that organisation could gain a large market share of new and used online car sales...
And here we have jamjar.co.uk
To make this review in any way worthwhile I have to review it as a website, then as a car dealership.
:-( The Website )-: It is reasonably well ...
