Quite smart actually. Ring tones are not silly like alot of these DECT phones. Our previous phones were an iDECT X1 pair and we'd come to utterly hate them, so that's our comparison. These are comfortable to hold for extended periods, and the earpiece/speakphone volumes are good.
The only downside which I would have, and which applies to ALOT of these DECT phones is that they do not share their phonebooks. You have to enter your numbers into each phone. That is annoying, but does not solely apply to these, as the majority of phone pairs are like this.
Menu layout is straight forward and as expected. Weight is good, not too heavy, and not too light. One BRILLIANT feature is that you can assign different ring tones to different people in your phonebook.

It operates on GSM 900 / 1800 MHz and 802.11b compliant networks.
Supported operating systems are Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000 and XP.
The card operates at 2.4 ? 2.4835 GHz. Note that in France the use of this equipment is only allowed at the frequency band of 2.445 ? 2.4835 GHz (channels 10, 11, 12 and 13).
