I find this phone to be a great motorola flip phone not only because of my upgrade from the V300 but the fact that the whole phone runs on the same prinicple.
I am one of these people that hates reading through user manuals to find out how to turn things on. So I was chuffed to pieces when this phone came out with the same layout as the v300 but with better specs.

I will go through some of the phone specifications and add my little notes next to them

The Size of this phone is 89 x 49 x 25 mm, Fits into my jeans pocket fine and you can certainly feel it vibrating...
The weight allow a little heavy is 110 g - Not to bad I suppose as I have this hanging around my neck.

The Talk Time on this is anywhere up to 255 mins - Not sure on this personally as I have never timed it, but I can use it for 48 hours talking on it constantly without having to charge it up

The Standby Time on this phone is anywhere up to 196 hours - I have had mine on for 3 days before now and not used it but the battery was fine and I used it for another 48 hours before I needed to recharge it

The TFT LCD Dual Screen is a very good size , 176 x 220 pixels, This is a very good colourful screen and very sharp

The Integrated cameras VGA quality (640 x 480 pixels), it aslo has 4x digital zoom, a photo editor, and low light capabilities - Have taken some great pictures with this

The Speakerphone for hands-free use is loud enough and you can easly turn it down or up, I personally don't use it as I use one that plugs into the car

This Phone also has a MP3 player which plays my MP3.s superbly

The Phonebook is massive its quoted to hold 1,000 entries. I ain't even used up 10% of that. You can personalise the phone book which is good because you can have them in the order you want them in... like I have mine showing the speed nos first instead of them being alphabetical. You can sort them out which ever ever you want

When I first recieved this phone I was amazed at how the Video capture and playback was so clear and that you could even hear the voices in playback

Instant messaging for real time chat - I chatted to my brother for ages on this the other day, not as good as msn but not bad.
I am waiting for T-Mobile to come up with MSN, they seem the only company that hasn't sorted this out

This Voice activated dialling comes in very handy and is quiet quick at pick your voice tones out.

The Java™ applications and games, 2 games preloaded which are Golf and Wakeboarding Unleashed. Not to bad a bit boring after a while but you can easily download more.
It also has FotoFunPack2 on it but I haven't really messed with that yet.

Polyphonic Ringtones, MP3 ringtones, MotoMixer™ remixable ringtone software, all this to mess around with it took me ages to go through all the tones to find some that I liked, then I messed with the Motomixer which was a laugh.... I must be tone deaf as my music didn't sound great at all... lol

I bought this phone as it has a bluetooth connection, only problem really for me is affording a Dongel and a bluetooth headset.

I had a USB data cable from my old phone the V300 and it fitted
this new one like a glove. All I need know is the software to get stuff of my phone and onto my computer.

Heres a few I haven't mention
  • Quad Band
  • MMS
  • EMS
  • Built in Modem
  • GPRS: 2U/4D
  • Infrared connection
  • Synchronisation with PC
  • WAP 2.0

The only problem I have with this is the Facias are again a bit hard to figure out.

Ohh and I have dropped it a few times and it bounced so durability and Robustness is a defiantly Very Strong

Just got this last week and still learning to use it. I got the T-Mobile one and can't work out how to shut it up from making a noise when I turn it on and off. Cx
