Advantages: Looks good, excellent MP3 player and battery life Disadvantages: Front of the phone smudges, quite heavy
...I used to own a Motorola PEBL before purchasing this phone and I have noticed that Motorola have left much of the menus the same. Features of the phone:-
- Takes and sends photos on 2 mega pixel camera with 8 x digital zoom - Text messaging - Wireless Bluetooth - Has an audio player to play song files. This has a good memory already but is upgradeable - Voice commands where you can say a name of a person in your phonebook and the phone will automatically call them - Hands free speaker - Caller ID on external screen - Records and sends videos - Push to talk (lets you talk as if you were on a walkie talkie with PTT subscribers, probably not for most people) - Has a mini usb port so it can be connected to a computer to transfer data - MP3 player already has a reasonable memory (20Mb) but this is upgradeable if necessary to 1Gb. - Polyphonic ring tone
Description
This is a slim phone with light matt casing on the back and reflective panel on the front with a small external screen for caller ID and time etc. The phone comes in three different colours:- silver (the colour of my phone), black and blue. It is also a flip phone so folds up small, the dimensions are:-
Length:- 103mm Width:- 42mm Height:- 16mm
Value for Money
I’ve had this phone on a contract since March but have to say this is the best mobile I have had to date. It looks good and has a large number of features, as it’s a relatively new model it can still cost around £100-£140. After a quick look you can get the black version on phones4u website for just under £100 pay as you go which I think is good value for money.
What I like about this phone
Excellent reception.
The phone is very long when in its opened position, which makes it easier call & talk into the mouthpiece.
Battery life is fantastic and probably goes up to two weeks on standby.
Screen is bright and easy to read.
The keys seem a lot more durable and heavy duty than previous Motorola’s I have owned.
Looks good.
Folds down small so no problem putting it into my pocket.
Excellent MP3 player (so long as used with headphones) Packaging and Assembly
The phone came boxed in an ingenious drawer design where by pulling a drawer on one side where the phone is another drawer on the other side opens which contained other items such as earphones, cd and instruction manuals. Setup of the phone was relatively easy, insert sim card and attach battery to the back of the phone and charge. All the items were well packaged to the extent that any damage in transit is very unlikely whilst in packaging.
Drawbacks
Excellent phone but the silver reflective panel on the front is annoying as it always seems to attract fingerprints and the phone is deceptively heavy for its size, however, I think the battery life makes up for this.
I used to own a Motorola PEBL before purchasing this phone and I have noticed that Motorola have left much of the menus the same. For me this is a plus but some current users of Motorola phones may wish to have seen an upgrade in the menu systems. Sound quality is very good on the MP3 player with headphones but don’t count on getting a good sound without.
Advantages: Sleek and stylish, good features, good value Disadvantages: Slow texting facilities, shows marks easily
...KRZR K1 is my first Motorola and I have to say, probably my last just because the text messaging facilities aren't as good as I expected! I bought it because I was after a pretty phone but this review will entail how it does and doesn't live up to my expectations!
The Looks:
This phone is very slim and sleek and is a good size for fitting in your pocket, but not so easy to find in a handbag that's filled with junk! Mine's a metallic blue colour, ... ...The keypad is a typical Motorola keypad which feels quite strange to use at first because the buttons aren't raised, but you get used to it! The numbers, letters and symbols on the keys are light blue when lit up and very easy to see in the dark. The screen is a good size and you won't be squinting to see it!
Overall it's simple but nicely designed and has that 'Sleek and Sexy' appeal to it.
The Features:
These are pretty standard, obviously you ...

Advantages: brilliant voice activation, good battery, sleek look Disadvantages: same old motorola menu
...reverts back to the old motorola menu which I have felt has always let itself down. The menus are complicated and really not user friendly at all unless you have owned a motorola before. The predictive text of other manufacturers is much easier to use and I think the 'select' and 'back' buttons are on the wrong side as I seem to always kick myself out of what ever I was doing instead of sending or saving. To try and find profiles, which by the way ... ...I am very pleased that motorola have vastly improved the internal antenna and the reception on the new KRZAR is much better. They also seem to resolved the constantly switching itself off thing which really bugged me about the V3i. Despite software issues, like switching itself off and poor signal quality that hampered previous motorola models, this phone seems to be manufactured and built with alot more quality and attention to detail. My absolute ...

Advantages: Beautifully built, decent features Disadvantages: Display and camera features disappointing by today's standards
...product - top of the Motorola range when it was launched, and still impressive as it moves down the market.
Construction is solid, which is important in a flip-phone. Budget flips can be alarmingly weak at the hinge, but the K1 exudes strength. The glossy front with its useful small display resists scratching, the metallic back is robust but has a pleasing silky feel, and the hinge is reassuringly firm. At the base is a wraparound-style speaker ... ...say that in my opinion Motorola is far and away the worst user interface designer of the major manufacturers, and the K1 has the usual attractive but frustrating interface.
But the styling and overall quality count for a lot: this is still one of the smoothest phones to pull from your purse or pocket. You could pay a lot more and get a lot less. ...

Advantages: Good Sound Quality, Long Battery Life, Quality Product Disadvantages: Buttons too close together for my liking!
...again, i've never had a motorola phone before, and I'd guess, that like most other mobile brands, the menu stuff is pretty standard on all their phones.
I'm giving this handset a full 5 stars, as a communication tool it works very well, and added to that the extra's such as MP3 player, camera etc. make this a useful multimedia tool. ...

Advantages: NOT HEAVY, FANTASTIC FUNCTIONS AND EASY TO TAKE AROUND. Disadvantages: THE SAME OLD MOTOROLLA MENU.
...Moto that is the new Motorola advertisement and in the real and actual sense, this is a popular advertisement that really gave this Motorola razor its name and it became a national anthem of the phone.
This is a very small, thin and a fantastic phone that has a lot of functions and also a flip phone.
In my household, Nokia has been my phone brand but I decided to give this Motorola phone product a nice try and the Hello motor anthem drew my interest ... ...functions but with the old Motorola menu.
Motorola has been known for not been good in the making of good and reliable phones because all along, Motorola's phones has been encountering a lot of problems including battery problem and self shutting down. But this time, Motorola has done some thing about it and has made a popular nice product.
The motor razor has a lot of improved features like the improvement of the internal antenna and reception. ...
