Still new to this but really enjoying reviewing all the gadgets I love (and keep buying) and experiences which are just a little different! I do appreciate any comments left regarding my reviews. Thanks!

Motorola Razr2 V8: When this phone came out of the box, my first thought was 'WOW, that's fantastic!'. My second thought was 'If this works as well as it looks then I'm ecstatic!'. This is the first time I have bought a phone online without seeing it in a brick and mortar store but I am a Motorola fan and felt I couldn't really go wrong.
Charge/Battery: The battery charged very quickly out of the box. After several hours of constant use, including Bluetooth time, it was down to 1 bar on the display. However when the phone is connected to the computer, it also charges. Second charge time was about 1 hour and half to full charge and the battery has remained at full (3 bars) despite being connected to Bluetooth for approx 2 hours.
Software: Motorola Phone Tools is the software package provided for general synchronisation of files/music/calendar/phonebook entries and it is fairly straightforward to use as well syncing with Outlook etc. The easiest way I have found to transfer files is to use the File Manager. There is a melody maker for creating your own ringtones as well as a MMS & Video suite. Both are basic but perfectly functional with a 'wizard' to help you create what you want.
Camera: The camera is perfectly satisfactory. Picture quality is excellent with the larger screens just adding to the experience. There are a number of options including multi photo which is useful for action shots. Taking video clips is easy and playback was good with fairly reasonable sound quality. When the files transferred to the computer, quality was great.
Music Player: The music player is easy to use. There is a dedicated music button on the handset which takes you straight to the player. When the phone is closed and the music is on, the front screen acts as a touch screen player with fast forward, pause/play and rewind. Again, very cool and with a reassuring buzz to let you know you have pressed a button! Choice of music listing is by album, artist etc. The S9 stereo headphones are great quality so playback is good on headphones, a bit tinny on the phone but that is probably to be expected. Actually transferring music across is a bit 'footery' if you're a dedicated iTunes user.
Accessories: Unfortunately all of my older accessories will not work with this headset as the port is a slightly different shape. I bought this phone from Orange and it came with a separate amazing stereo Bluetooth headset included. In the box was a plug in earpiece set, pouch, mains adaptor, USB cable and software CD.Other great things worth mentioning:
As with other Motorola phones, the sidebar and menus can be rearranged to suit.
Voice dialling capability is easier to use than previous Motorola phones - there is now a confirm command to make sure you are dialling the right person and the range of commands is greater.
The keypad feels more spacious than previous Razr models, less margin for error.
The soft keys at the side vibrate slightly so you know they have been pressed, either in error or by design.
You can reply to texts without flipping the phone open with preset template messages
Gripes:
Main gripe is the fiddly connector for the micro USB port. You need nails to prise it open and it does feel as though it could break without too much effort. With this quality of phone, it seems silly to have something that feels easily breakable on the outside. I was also concerned that it would not connect to the Phone Tools software via the cable (although this may be due to something other than the phone as it connected fine through Bluetooth).
The USB connector is 'micro' as opposed to 'mini' so requires an adapter for accessories you may already have. They are not that easy to find (there are some on eBay)
Transferring music is not simple if your libraries are stored in iTunes
Overall: I am not a design/aesthetics critic but this phone really does look amazing. If you are looking for a phone that performs as well as it looks then you will love this phone!
