...When I first saw the Motorola L6, I was tempted to buy it especially because everyone states that it is the best phone company on the market. Having had an old Nokia 3410, I thought it was time for a bit of a change.
Some say the Motorola L6 is excellent when it comes to value for money (including me) but there are many things the American company still need to add to thier excellent product.
First, let me tell you about some of the good things about the Motorola L6.It is bluetooth ready which means you can share videos and music with your friends or even connect it to your computer which unfortunately you need a special cable for (£9.99 from Maplin). It's slim and sleek and even fits into the smallest of pockets which is very hard to do these days! The battery life on it lasts up to an amazing 4-5 days but one major drawback...

...Motorola A830
----------------
Overview
----------------
The Motorola A830 was Motorola’s first attempt at a 3G phone for the Europe & Australia marketplace. It supports WCDMA 3G networks as well as GSM 900/1800 & 1900 – this means that it will be able to roam on any GSM network including in the US as well as the O2 Network which ‘3’ in the UK uses as its roaming partner.
At present ‘3’ is the only company offering the Motorola A830 so whilst this opinion isn’t about the ‘3’ network it will focus on how the phone works with ‘3’. The handset is no available sim free, is locked to three and there is no sim only; customers buying this phone then will probably be on a three contract.
The reason I got this phone was to take advantage of the fantastic value Video Talk 750 package on ‘3’, the phone was free on contract with cash...

Advantages: Games, some good buttons, signal reception Disadvantages: Battery, the whole I-Mode thing, Not MP3, Hardly Customisable, Keypad, Only available on O2 PAYG
...I bought this phone second hand (in next to new condition, hardly used [now I know why]) from Ebay, paying a fraction of the RRP, and I am still severely disappointed. (It also isn't the phone I thought I was buying as the auction just listed it as the L6 model) I had next to no expectations going into it, all I wanted a quick, cheap replacement Motorola after my Razr suddenly went out of action. It does have a handful of good points, but you'll quickly see how the negatives outweigh the positive.
Size:
The L6i is a very sleek and slim phone. At just 12mm thick its possible to pat your pocket and not realise its there. On the other hand, it is about 10cm long. In my opinion this is too long. I like to carry my phone in my back pocket. If you lay it horizontally, you get a square ass! And if you stand it vertically, it risks falling...

When technology goes wild and even faster than people would like or appreciate, a "return to the origins" could easily lead to a success.

The Motorola L6 is a strange item to review - it can be excellent and it can be awful: it depends who you are and how you want your phone to be.
