Advantages: Make standard/video calls; Bluetooth; multi-media +2 cameras; looks and feels good Disadvantages: Music reproduction a bit 'tinny' ~ Bluetooth usage not instinctive; standard ring tones maybe boring
...my first 3G phone, a Motorola C975, which required charging every night, looked like a (silver) brick and was quite chunky. I had an allowance of 500 minutes any time any networks, 100 texts, and free internet browsing; e-mails cost 25p - 50p each depending on size. I found the tariff suited me; I never exceeded my allowance, and although it didn't have Bluetooth, it was a simple matter to e-mail pictures to myself. The problem was the memory and ... ...with 3-phone.

The new phone was delivered by the postman in person the next day, and I could hardly wait to open the package. l transferred the Dual Mode UMTS SIM card into the new phone, put the battery in and slid the back on. The pumpkin coloured finish (like the deep pink illustrated above) felt smooth and sensuous to the touch. The fold-over style meant that I could answer the phone by simply opening it ( ...

Advantages: Decent memory capacity Disadvantages: Software problems, too many to list!
...which you received a free Motorola V3X. The deal was fantastic and I'd always liked the look of Motorola's in the past but had heard bad things about them, but decided to bite the bullet and give them a fair crack of the whip.
My phone arrived with a utilities CD and a USB cable for PC connectivity which a lot of companies make you pay separately for. So far so good. The sleek design, although a lot thicker than the original RZR's was pleasing enough ... ...indeed. I have 10 months of my contract left and I will not be asking for a new Motorola handset that's for sure. It will make a good spare phone for someone so I'll probably tuck it away in a drawer somewhere and hope my new handset doesn't go wrong! ...

...got another 11 months to run on my contract, I doubt it will even last that long. I suppose some people will say, what do you expect on a cheap contract (£15 a month). Perhaps you're right, but having used other Motorola phones, I expected a lot better than this! ...

Advantages: None Disadvantages: Look & feel, battery life, signal
I've had numerous mobile phones over the years including Nokia, Samsung and now Motorola. This is by far the worst handset I've ever had the misfortune to be stuck with. For a starters the size and shape are both big and cumbersome, it's not as heavy as it looks, but it looks like a brick. I have had the mobile over a year now and I thought I'd get used to it, but it's only got worse. I work in a rural setting and as such I often don't get mobile ... ...worked perfectly well in the same location. I have switched it from the 3G network onto the other network, but it's not made any difference. Don't buy it unless you're in a central city location where signal is reliable.
The battery life is appaling, I have to charge it every night or else it dies the next day. I only use it for phone calls and texting, hate to think how short the battery would last if I used all the advanced functions available.

Advantages: Stylish, Compact and User Friendly Disadvantages: Can't lock the bottons on the outside of the phone.
Having alway had Nokia phones in the past I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the V3x was to use.
Its a small compact phone with two camaras, a 2.0 mega pixel camara/video on the out side and one on the inside for use when video calling.
It has two colour screens a small one on the outside and a rather large one on the inside that rivals most phones. It has an easy to use menu and a selection of applications and tools which come standard on ... ...conected to your computer to allow data sycn and also write and send texts using your keyboard.
It has exellent security features where you can lock off pretty much everything you like on the phone in whatever combination. Also it has a handy little tool which I haven't seen on any other phone where you need a pass code to see certain entries in the phone book excellent for keeping those little secrets secret, with it taking the name of the contact ...

Advantages: 2Mp camera, Good expandable memory, Quick downloading Disadvantages: Not as razr-thin as V3, and slightly heavier
...a new stadard for mobile phone photos, and the V3x certainly does not disappoint - they look great. There is also built-in editing so you can mess around with your pics to make your hair red or your friend's eyes pop out (or something like that) before you mms, email or bluetooth them to another device.
Additionally, the MotorolaRAZRV3x features something called "SCREEN3", a browsing function developed by Motorola that gives you access to information and entertainment content directly from your mobile screen without having to launch any browsers or having to click through lots of menus. It auto-updates on your homepage so you get a constant stream of new information, which is pretty cool.

Advantages: Music player, good screen, takes nice daylight photos Disadvantages: Design, overrated, battery life etc etc.
...Having had Samsung phones for several years, I decided it was time for a change and received my first Nokia -the nokia N80- in February this year. It was an online deal from 3 on a price plan with only two phones to choose from - the MotorolaRazrV3x or the N80. I'd heard so much bad press about the V3x that I decided to give the N80 a try.
My first impression of the N80 was that it was a whole lot bulkier than I had expected. I'm a woman with average sized hands and found it somewhat uncomfortable to hold and slide open/shut. This was particualrly apparent when composing text messages.
I found that navigating takes practise.
The menu button, along with the "multimedia" and clear button, are cramped underneath the connect call/disconnect call buttons and are smaller than a cue-tip. My female average-sized fingers can barely...

Advantages: small, light, easy to use and available in 3 different colours Disadvantages: not very much features, poor camera quality
...have to charge it up mostly every 2-3 days. When i talk to people it runs down the battery even quicker so after about 10 calls it loses about one out of the three battery bars.
It's excellent value for money i got from the carphone warehouse for £50 on virgin mobile, and even came with £5 credit on already so it basically cost £45, a absolute bargain for a easy to use good quality phone.
It has very few features, it doesn't have bluetooth, mp3 ringtones or a car kit. It does have though a camera, video but you have to download the videos, and two games Hungry Fish and Ope It Out it also has Foto Fun Pack 2, where you make a face.
I would not recommend this to potential buyers, because there is better phones out there like the motorolaRAZRV3i and V3x, which both have lots more features.
