Advantages Large screen, easy to use

Disadvantages Volume

I've never been cool enough to be at the forfront of mobile phone technology, usually opting for an easy to use model rather than something that looks like it belongs in a James Bond film. However because I am such a good customer to o2 they recently offered me a free upgrade and the black razr was one of my options.

Have usually gone for smaller phones I was a little worried this would feel chunky and awkward. however the beauty of this phone is that although it appears big, it is actually very slim so it fits nicely into a pocket. The size also means it has a large, easy to see screen and easy to use buttons rather than constantly pressing the wrong thing when texting.

The phone comes complete with the now standard attributes, text and picture messaging (again the big screen is useful) bluetooth, WAP, and a very large memory for storing old messages or lots of numbers. You can also personalise alot about the phone, there are no changable covers (although you can buy different coloured handsets) but all of the tones, bells and whistles can be uniquely modified.

The phone is also designed in such a way that you can tailor your shortcuts, so with the press of just one button you can be checking your messages or dialling up a loved one.

One of my major gripes with my old Sony Erickson phone was that it had an awful battery life, however the Razr can usually go for a few days of average use before it needs a recharge. Plus these have become so popular most people sem to have a charger they can led you in most offices.

The only real problems I have with the phone are very minor. I find that even on maximum volume you sometimes can't hear the phone when it's in your pocket. Also when you have a message or a missed call the phone beeps to let you know. Very useful although not when you miss it in a meeting as then it's not just the ring that's a distraction but also the atention seeking beeps till you check.

These small points aside I really like the phone and would recommend the make and model to anyone. The phone is also very durable as it's have a few bumps with concrete, tiled floor and pub floor with little or no damage.
