Having previously had the samsung e530 and loved it so much it became to broken to use, i needed to change my phone contract and get a new phone. As i was already on o2 through phones 4 you, i spent time looking for a new phone, decided which ones i liked then rang o2 to change the contract and get myself a better deal on my chosen phone - the motorola rizr. My mum had not long bought the new krzr and was really happy with it so i took this as being a good incentive to chose a motorola. The deal i got with phones for you left me paying £28 a month and gettin 600 texts and 600 minutes tuesday to friday then 1000 minutes which is amazing after my previous contract with them had me paying £35 a month to only get 300 mintues and 300 texts!! I recieved my phone within a few days and was realy impressed with it as i hadn't seen it in the shops so was unsure as to what to expect! i spent a good few days figuring it out as i hate to read the manul and like working things out myself, but i slowly realsised i was going to have to read it as i couldnt find a lot of the features i would have expected to be there or even anything similar after my last phone. Having read then manual it was apparent that it wasnt that i couldnt find the features...they just werent there! Within a week of me having the phone, i kept trying to work the voice command, uyet not only did it never understand what i was saying, it led me to texting the wrong people and also froze on a number of occasions. The screan would go white and say please wait which i discovered could last for a good 20 mins before i gave up and turned it off and on again. As this kept happening i gave up using the voice command and havent had any freezing problems since yet i don't really feel that thats the point! Now that i've had my phone for a couple of months, i have to admit its done ok. Not great though! By shear bad luck i managed to trap my phone in my car door as i shut it which has left the top part not sitting qite flush with the bottom bit anymore, and i thought that this was the reason for my battery messing up as my phone wouldn't charge at all. I spoke to o2 - who were really helpful - and tried charging my phone with my mums charger, which worked so leaving me with the conclusion that the charger don't las long ass my mum was on her second aswel. Yet a month later, my ohone battery is clearly worse for wear - and evidently not due to the damage i gave it as it worked fine for a good few weeks after this - with my battery changing from 'fully charged' to flashing empty within a day or two if im lucky. This i dont think is acceptable as im a mere 6 months into m 18 month contract and don't want to be having it get worse and worse over the next year. All in all i pprobably wouln't advise buying this phone. It's doing ok at the moment but im having to only use it for ringing, texting, and alarm and the occasional photo as not only does it not have much else, not i dont want the hassle of it freezing like before when i use more complicated features! Having searched around recently i cannot see it on any of the bigger company websites which leads me to beleive that its not in stock anymore due to the upgraded rizr having already hit the shelves. I am also now looking to change my phone as im nto happy with it which gives me a lot of hassle that i would prefer not to have yet if you just want it for texting, ringing and the odd picture its not too bad.
and as far as im aware, a music player, yet i dont use it as the memory isnt big enough to take more than one song if you have over 30ish photos stored on there too!
