The Bluetooth S9 headset retails at a around £100 and after about 3 months of use I am fairly well impressed with its performance.
Tired of loops of wire and fiddly controls when using a hands / free? Then this is for you.
Setup.
After about 2 -3 attempts I managed to get a Bluetooth connection between Phone ( Motorola V8) and headset. This connection delivered a strong signal to my ears and made my play lists ( mostly light classical music with a few of Sinatra's offerings mixed in) really come alive. Stereo effect has a very slight bias towards the left hand speaker, but I'm putting that down to my 69 years old Mk. I lug 'oles, not performing as they used to!
General Performance.
Overall very good. PROVIDING one either mounts the Phone in a car holder or places it within arm's length on a table the reception is as good as it gets. BUT, the minute one either moves the phone handset or places in a shirt pocket (or as in my case in a leather holder clipped to my belt) then things are not what one would expect from such an otherwise pleasing product. 'Drop outs' of signal and of course, constant interruption of listening pleasure seems to be the price one pays for the otherwise high standards. In a product designed to afford the listener a "seam free" connection whilst on the move, Motorola needs to have serious second thoughts.
"Hands Free"
When set up to automatically receive incoming calls it comes into its own as a fine instrument, given the odd vagaries of Motorola's V8 Voice call software,...
" Say a command or name", then when one does this, the software replies "Did you say ******'s MOBEEL?" Answering "Yes" gets one connected. Answering "No" switches the strongly American accented voice off. . All heard through the left hand earpiece only. After the call ends the music is switched back on again .
A well designed but flawed instrument, it'll do until "they" bring out some hopefully free downloads / adjustments to "tweak" the 'drop out' problem
Advantages: lightweight, sound quality, battery time, ease of use Disadvantages: can be a little to big although still comfortable
Motorola S9 Bluetooth stereo active headset
I received this free with the new Razr2 phone and am really impressed with the quality of sound. Initially I had a perfectly serviceable old BodyGlove ear piece which came with all the usual issues like occasionally dropping out of a call, at times not being heard or not being able to hear and running out of battery quite quickly. I assumed this was the norm!
Comfort
The weight is very light (1.14 oz) ... ...comfortably round the back of your head. The ear buds do not go right into your ear but sit just inside. Considering the part that sits over the top of your ear is inflexible, it does not rub at all. The raised buttons on each ear bud make it easy to press the correct button when making/receiving calls. I should say at this point that I have found the headset to be fractionally too large for me which is the only drawback. Every other person I made ...

Good sound quality and stylish design, but unless you stay completely still when listening to music, this unit is totally useless. A major drop-out problem means you'll spend more time listening to spluttering pauses than actual sound. Didn't someone test this thing before they let it out of the factory?
For most purposes, these headphones are completely unusable!

I liked my S9's. Drop-out is a problem but much more to do with the phone, I suspect. Low battery? Using a bluetooth dongle on a PC, my S9's gave me a range all around the house and garden.
However my first S9's went back for this reason and the replacement was a bit better with respect to drop-out.
Someone stole my pair so I am probably going to buy a replacement set because I miss them.

I bought this item on eBay for the price of £24 P&P. I bought it to use it with my mobile, mainly when I go to the gym to listen to the music. I must say one of the best £24 that I have spent so far on product.
This headphones are cool. Easy to use, comfortable and functional. So far cannot say much about battery life but used it for more less 3 hours and everything is OK (manufacturer says up to 6 hrs).
Can be used with laptop, just need to buy spare adapter for my laptop, very nice.
Forever in love in bluetooth :-)

...-automated response system with no problem and didn't experience any dropped calls during our review period. Unfortunately, we didn't have quite the same praises for the speakerphone. Even at the highest level, volume was weak, we had to hold the speaker close to our ear to hear our friends, and our callers said we also sounded soft. In addition, audio would occasionally cut out.
On a more positive note, we successfully and easily paired the smartphone with the Samsung WEP350 Bluetoothheadset and the MotorolaS9Bluetooth Active Headphones. Finally, the smartphone has a M3 hearing aid compatibility rating.
The N97's general performance was decent. The smartphone was mostly responsive with minimal lag or delay. However, there were a couple of occasions where we got a warning that memory was low and that we had to close other application in order to...
