Whilst I am sure many people have written a technical review of this phone, I really wanted to let you all know about my personal experience with it. I bought the phone in purple when it first came out, it retailed then at approximately £115 pounds. I then put my o2 contract simcard in and away I went.
The phone performed perfectly for the first few months, like many electrical products it had a guarentee for one year, after this year things started to go and continue to go annoyingly wrong!
Firstly, if i call someone and the line is engaged, the beep that you usually hear when this happens does not end when I have hung up the phone. The incessant beeping can continue for minutes and cause me to have to restart the phone.
Secondly, it likes to do something which I now refer to as the 'demon phone', this is where the entire screen dissapears and all that you can see is a big square of bright red! This again means the phone must be restarted. Occasionaly it will just go white, which i guess we could call the angel phase.
The phone can also freeze at certain points, locking the screen and meaning that nothing else can be done until it decides to unfreeze itself.
The phone is also unable to count time correctly, I will set it to the time on my laptop and over a week or two it will slowly lose time until it is at least ten minutes behind! I'm not sure how or why this happens as it is a digital clock but clearly something is amiss!
Finally it is becoming near impossible to text without immense frustration. When using the 7 key, to produce the letter s, the phone will skip the letter most times. So even if i press the button four times to go from P, Q, R and then to S, it will often skip past s and go back to P. Considering how many words the letter S is in you can appreciate how annoying this is!
As far as the phone spec goes, yes it's fine and it has a camera, video camera etc, however all these specs can be obtained from the official websites which retail the phone. What I wanted to let you know, is that despite the seemingly okay specs, if you have the problems I have the phone is not a sound investment!
