When I saw Harry Hill advertising this phone on the TV, I marveled at its sleek outlook and unique groovy colorful covers, and as I was in bad need of a phone at the time, I persuaded myself to invest in the Motorola V2288.

When I received the phone the following day, I instantly ripped open the box, to find my new phone beckoning before me, gleaming with all its beauty, along with 2 covers, that somewhat resembles scuba diving material, hands free kit, a clip, along with a user guide, and not to forget your vital sym card.

As I held the phone for the first time, I felt a tingle run down my fingertips, as it was so comfortable!! more so than any phone I have held in my life. Straight away I popped the rechargeable batteries into the back, and inserted the sym card, and its all ready! All I had to do was wait till the next day to use it.

As I viewed the phones interface, I found that it was very easy to select the option that I wanted, however maybe a little more complex than the Nokia’s system. As this phone is WAP compatible, I firstly tested to see whether all the hype was worth it, and it didn’t disappoint, however I feel that the screen can maybe regarded as a little to small for using then internet over this phone, but the simplicity of this feature redeems itself drastically.

As we all know, all phones have their faults, and this model is no acception, as the rechargeable batteries are very fiddly to fit into the back, so it maybe better to opt for a phone with a rechargeable clip instead, also pictures that may be contained in messages cannot be viewed, as this phone does not support it, as with downloadable ring tones and logo’s, however, these flaws are not too much of a problem, but can get very irritating at times.

My personal experience with this phone is truly astonishing, as I have never stumbled across any problems with it whatsoever, I have also dropped it on many occasions, and it has never been damaged, due to its immense durability, however it may feel a touch too heavy for the liking of some.

This model is also the only phone to contain FM radio access, that’s right! you can listen to Chris Tarrant in the comfort of any environment what so ever!. However no typical headphone types can be used, but only the hands free/headphones can be used, also you cannot scroll through the options on your phone at the same time, it also rapidly drains you batteries energy in a matter of hours, so it may be best not use it all the time.

After 2 months of using this phone, I magically found it so simplistic to navigate through the menus etc, it’s now like a new friend! I would never swap this phone to anything else. Your voicemail can also easily be accessed, as there is a handy little button with an envelope icon, this saves a lot of hassle trying to find it in your phone book.

I would seriously recommend this phone to anyone, as it is so easily used, and therefore it appeals to all ages, however if you are looking for extra, but non-essential features such as customized ring tones etc, I would advise you to look into the Nokia range, this phone is also under £100 including all the features described in the above, so there is no excuse for serious consideration of purchasing this phone.
