Now has a lookalike which is great as I upgraded to the E550 a few months ago and everything that fitted my V300 now fits the E550. E550 Much is a much better model.
The V300 Flip phone was my first mobile that had Real Ringtones and a Real Colour screen. I spent hours on this phone playing some gr8 Java games,.... Monopoly, Weakest Link, and even a Gambling Machine all of these I downloaded using Gprs
It also gave me specialised Tones to go with certian people that would call, for instance I would have the "Crazy Frog" tone for my home phone and my husbands no. Then I had another ringtone for my son, which did always remind me of his energy. The Polyphonic ring tones were just as good and sounded brilliant.
I even added photos to the phone nos by using the camera thats built in, the camera had a small but instant zoom on it which gave me very clear pics. I was forever clicking away. After a while though with my picture taking it would blip on me and when you went to save the picture it would ask if you wanted to overwrite a previous one,. The way the photo saving went is that it would save it as the date and then the time. SO I was suprised to see that there was another file called by the same name when it didn't even exsist. If you clicked replace then you would lose it. THe only way I got around this was by pretending to send it to myself , but just put it in drafts, that way I could get at the picture and rename the file.
It was just at the time that the camera phones started coming out and my husband decided to go for a motorola one which was really quite sharp picture wise, but not very good on the messaging side of things. My V300 outstriped the rest of his Motorola C550 just by using the predictive text. The fact that the two top buttons could be pointed to anything you wanted it to be was amazing to me, not many of the phones that i have used have ever been able to do that.
I only wish that the leading companys in mobile manufacturing would make universal plugs to fit all there range of products.... IE Why can't they make a Charger that fits all Nokia brands or a Desktop CHarger that fits all Motorola.
Motorola has done this with this one phone, from a V300 to a E550 I can use all my bits and pieces that I collected for the V300 on the E550. No more extra expense at having to go out and buy a new case/desktop charger/facia ect ect.
I find that changing the facias to this things are extremley hard.
