I purchased this mobile phone as an upgrade to my Sharp GX20, it was a rather blind purchase, chosen upon due to its looks and that Jeremy Clarkson (the tall guy on Top Gear) had one, that was the winner for me.

The first thing I noticed about my phone is that, although its very slim, it has been made longer to compensate, however this was not a problem, it has also been noted that many people do not like the way the microphone sticks out at the bottom, however I do not see a way that Motorola could have adapted this to the same use.

What else can I say? It's a motorola, I have never had one myself but know people that have, one of its best features, as with all Motorola phones is that it has the ability to lock certain features, so if your cheating on your spouse, you can lock your SMS Text Messages, so they can only be acessed by entering your handset unlock code, similarly with the internet, phonebook, pictures, camera, basically most features on the phone are lockable.

Many features, as with most Motorolas are widely available but not as widely known about. For example, when turning your phone onto silent, many people will flick from Volume 7, to Vibrate or Silent, proceding downwards, with a tone at each volume on the way, this can tend to be quite distruptive, however I have found, if, whilst on volume 7, press Up, it will bring up the volume options, without a tone, and press 0 on the keypad and it will jump to Vibrate, without 7 loud tones.

I was disappointed however to find that you cannot change the text message alert, that there is no flash on the camera and that the charger input on the phone is different to any other Motorola (so you cant pick up a cheap incar charger down at your supermarket begining with "T", and ending up "esco")

To sum it up, nice phone for looks, but personally I would have been happy to stick with my GX20
