i bought this phone just over a month ago and I can honestly say I’ve never looked back. It looks amazing for the fashion conscious and is so simple to operate too.
The phone is called a swivel phone because instead of the run of the mill flip open design it rotates 180 degrees to reveal a full keypad for easy texting and calling. it has predictive text with the option of adding your own words to its internal dictionary. When the phone is closed the keypad is automatically locked meaning there is no need to worry about dialling accidentally or using up precious call time.
Fun features
It comes with two java games already on the handset but you can also download more. It has smooth sounding polyphonic ring tones included, with downloadable tracks available too. It has many wallpapers and moving screen savers stored in it too. Other features include; calculator, date book, voice memo record and voice activated dialling. And for the technology conscious among us it is blue tooth compatible too.
Multi media and wap
The most amazing thing I’ve found with the v80 is the camera its VGA and has 4x zoom but more than that you can take pictures either in the usual portrait style or by twisting the top section 90 degrees you can also take landscape pictures! The size of the phones memory im not sure of exactly but I have 15 saved photos,1 extra java game and 5 ring tones on my phone and my memory is only 5% full. The phone is wap enabled and can be used for lower charged and faster connections of GPRS as well as conventional dial up wap. It has a feature I’ve never noticed on a mobile phone before too, which is instant messaging, much the same as IM on your computer. Also there is an option of receiving or downloading short video clips.

Advantages: looks o nice and the rotate is cool Disadvantages: breaks too easily
If you enjoy getting a phone that looks cool but is very unreliable and breaks if you use it too much then go ahead and buy this phone.
When you first get the phone you are filled with a sense that can only be described as awe. You fall in love with the black cover and silver rim. u adore that u open it by rotating and you can turn it to 90degrees to go to camera mode. The picture quality takes your breathe away and the size of it is just slick.
... ...most other phones. You can call, you can text you can MMS, and other normal features.
Bad point 1. No video capture which it was actually advertised to have which really got on my nerves.
Bad point 2. After a month every time I closed the phone it would freeze and I would have to take the battery out to get it to turn off.
Bad point 3. After I got it back from being repaired the joystick fell off within a week and they had sent me a new phone, ...

Advantages: Extremely stylish with lights around screen, cool rotation Disadvantages: joystick is hard to use
this was my first colour screen phone i had and i was extremely impressed by it. I think the rotation is extremely smooth and much better than the rotation of other phones like the sony ericcison rotation phone whose name slips me. Another cool feature is the ring lights around the screen of the phone which can light up to the rhytm of music which is excelent if you are in a club, and would definately make you the centre of attraction! The actual ... ...bit problematic as the joystick is not really smooth and you have to push it quite hard, mine eventually broke!!! That is the only major flaw of the phone which is a shame because it is one of my favourites out of the many phones i have used. The keys on the keypad are quite small so if you have big thumbs or nails you may find it quite hard to use. The camera is pretty average however there are many phones with better cameras on the market these ...

Advantages: Very Fashionable look Disadvantages: Quite fragile
My friend got bought this phone for her birthday and i loved it so much i had to go out and buy it!!! It has a 180 degree rotation which opens out to reveal the key pad. The buttons are well spaced out for texting, and the screen is huge!! Great colour quality - and visability of the screen. Camera - not the best camera on a phone but it does its job and takes photographs!! There is various settings to lighten and darken the photo, and the memory ... ...memory and i have about 30 photos.
Video playback - although there is no videoer on the phone there is a video playback facility so people can send you videos and you can play them!!
Bluetooth - has blue tooth wihich enables you to send and recive things off other blue tooth phones for free.
Adress Book - obviously has the basic address book facility as on any phone - you can assign ring tones to different people so you know whos calling! you ...

Advantages: small, texts and phones, unique, games, loads of features, good quality sound Disadvantages: sluggish, no movie function, battery life, joystick and charger is fiddly, rubbish ringtones supplied
...clip in. I've seen other motorola models with the same issue.
WHAT I LIKE: The V80 is small which makes it good to carry. Overall it feels sturdy, better than my previous Nokias anyway. The sound quality is good and it has a speaker for when your hands are tied. The screen size is just right and is good quality. It has loads of features, not that i use many of them, but they're still there. The lights around the screen are cool. At a glance you ... ...green and amber. Speaker is good quality. The two games supplied (hungry fish and skipping stones) are decent and pass the time.
WHAT I DON'T LIKE: Joystick - bit fiddly. Charger - bit fiddly. And the main, most annoying thing is its slow going through the menus, and even texting. The phone works a second or two behind you. Doesn't sound much, but it is annoying. My Nokia 5110 and 3210 kept up with me. Oh and the camera is rubbish and you can't ...

Advantages: Looks amazing Disadvantages: Broke after 2 weeks!
As far as i can tell from the other reviews a lot of people haven't had many problems with this phone.
However, i bought mine last year from a phone shop in town and it broke after 2 weeks; the screen wouldn't turn on at all, and the keypad would light up every time i pressed a button. i tried different batteries in it, i tried taking it to the shop but they couldn't find anything wrong with it mechanically.
They took the phone back. But I wouldn't ... ...time that my phone did work, i'll admit that it looked great. however, it froze very often, smply if i just flicked it open the phone would freeze 8 times out of ten. The bluetooth was very slow compared to everyone else when i tried transferring files to and from my phone. I know two other people that had the phone, and theirs did exactly the same thing (without breaking completely like mine). The joystick fell off both of their phones after 2 months ...

Advantages: Its slim Disadvantages: Difficulty in use
Well, previous to owning this phone I owned the MotorolaV80, which I loved, but it got stolen, and my provider wasn't doing that phone anymore, so decided to go for the V3. The first thing I don't like about it as it's quite difficult to flip the phone open with one hand with having very slight arthritis in my fingers, because the phone is so wide, it causes me slight pain. I'm constanly cleaning the phone, as fingerprints show up so easily on both the black and silver version (I have the black, my friend has the silver, which is even worse for fingermarks). The screen on the front is quite small compared to other flip phones. The camera is ok, nothing great, but the feature of being able to take a phone with the phone closed isn't as good as it sounds, as the pic you see in the viewing screen, isn't exactly the pic your getting, it ...

Advantages: Excellent Sharp Camera, Graphics for games are pretty good, sleek design Disadvantages: keypad is a bit stiff when texting, pictures become pixelated when you zoom in fully
This phone is pretty amazing!! to start with, the main feature is the camera with 3.2 megapixels which produces sharp clear images until you zoom in over 50% then it becomes slightly pixelated but still the best camera on a phone ever, it even has cool applications like face warp wich lets you distort you friends face as though they were looking into a crazy mirror. other great things are the games wich have good 3D graphics however the 3 included games can get tiresome after a wile. The bluetooth transfer speed it pretty fast compared to other phones like the motorolas. The phone is easy to navigate and the joystick is very smooth compared to other phones, once agen i'm singling out the motorola whose V80's joystick was atrocious. the speaker volume is very loud and clear and even the radio which uses the handsfree as an antenna is very ...
Advantages: Great phone, great features, great camera Disadvantages: the joystick is useless!
Yet again SE have released a phone that beats all others into the ground!
I've had this phone for little over a month now and I'm STILL not bored with it which is rare! My last phone, MotorolaV80, I was bored with within a week!
This phone has it all - Great Camera, fast bluetooth, infrared, MP3 player, memory stick duo port and USB connector.
The working of the phone is just like all the other SE phones, menu system is the same and it's got the same old rubbish joystick. at first the joystick works fine but after a while it starts to stick and not move when you want it to.
The picture quality is the best I've seen on a phone. with a 2.0mega pixel camera with flash and auto focus, you really can get some amazing shots. with picture resolution ranges from 160x120 to 1632x1224 you can load the pictures onto your PC and have ...
