When I switched contracts from Vodafone to 3, I was given this mobile. At first I thought it looked very impressive but you really should believe the old adage that looks can be deceiving! I cannot wait until my contract is due for renewal again so that I can get rid of the blessed thing! I am now going to list all the things that I have found fault with since owning the 'phone. Make sure you're sitting down, it could take some time!
Firstly, the 'phone has no bluetooth or infra red system. This means you cannot quickly transfer your numbers etc. from one handset to the other, you have to manually input them. When you have over 100 contact numbers to input, this is incredibly annoying! It also means your friends can't send you images, tunes etc. without paying for it - and they're not so keen to do it then!
Secondly, the alarm on the 'phone only works when it wants to, or so it seems. If you are charging the 'phone over night and leave the charger plugged in, the alarm will not go off in the morning, for some ridiculous reason. Also, if you receive a text message during the night and you do not read it, the alarm will not go off. I have been late for work 3 times through my alarm messing me about like this!!
Thirdly, the battery dies so quickly. I have pretty much charged my 'phone every day since getting it. It's okay if you don't use your 'phone, but a couple of calls and the battery starts fading fast. Not great hey?
To continue, the charger I was given has now partly broken. The button you push in to release it from the 'phone, has snapped off, so now I have to play tug of war to try and remove the charger from the 'phone socket. It's a real pain.
Lastly, the Videophone facility is actually only available in 3G areas. I don't know how this works with other network providers but I imagine it is something similar. Needless to say, I cannot use my videophone at home - a 15mins drive and I can use it. I know this is as much of an issure with my service provider as it is with my 'phone but nevertheless, I agreed to this 'phone because I thought I could videophone my boyfriend who lives 3 hours away. I can, if I get in my car and go to the next town!!
To sum up, I guess I am saying DO NOT BUY THIS 'PHONE!!
