...which didn't happen. Nor was it ready between Christmas and New Year...
nor was it ready the weekend after New Year (6th).
By now I haven't had a car for some time, it's causing me big problems in my work and personal life.

Ringing up you can't talk to someone about the delivery time - you always have to be phoned back. As I work from home and am on the phone a lot as a result, this meant I would be receiving messages, rather than having a dialogue, and the messages always promised delivery times which were never met.
I provided them with an ultimatum - either it was ready this weekend (13th Jan) or forget it. I have a call on Thursday - the car is with them, at last. I make the arrangements for getting to Sheffield, including booking a hotel for the Friday night to collect on the Saturday morning at 10am.
I then get a call on Friday afternoon saying the leather interior is not available. I can either wait another week, or drive back there (500 mile round trip) after collecting the car to get it swopped.
I agreed to do the latter if they dropped the price by £200. Not a large amount of money given the depreciation of the vehicle, the fuel and my time.
This wasn't done, so I cancelled the order. To be fair, they did refund my deposit quickly.
HOWEVER there is a massive discrepancy between a 2 week promised delivery time and then failing to deliver after 7 weeks. I would NEVER have bought the car if I had known I wouldn't get it after Christmas. I made my position very clear at time of placing the order.
They do have vehicles in stock, so by all means buy that way, as their prices are very good. However as often happens, once an order is placed a company believes they have you at their mercy. Waiting so long cost me hire car bills; being told my car was there incurred a hotel bill and personal arrangements being made; I took finance out a month before I needed to thanks to their broken promises, so I am literally hundreds of pounds down thanks to my association with this company.

Good deals, good prices, good service, just do not trust the delivery times and sell your old car privately if you can.
My Megane CC was 6 weeks delivery on the invoice,because the colour not in stock. 14 weeks in arriving . . Recommend buying colours in stock.
Part Ex values are the lowest of the low so I recommend selling privately plus if they have not seen the part ex until new car pick up time, arguments can erupt.
Otherwise they are great. They respond to progress requests quickly. Car exactly as I expected and the price was tremendous. Keep to my suggestions and you should grab a bargain. ...

Never bought a car off the web & if Renault are to be believed it is too too too risky. Nonsense, it went so well + the team at motor point were so helpful, the car is perfect I couldn't ask for more. A couple of words of advice - get radio key code sorted before you leave, I had a very quiet trip back on the motorway! And don't forget to fill up these cars really are new and don't have any. There is a really cheap ( can I use that word?) Morrisons across the road. Also we didn't, but it may also be possible to arrange a helicopter flight to complete the day. (it is an airport). Would I buy again? - yes. Would I go back? - yes. ...

Very Pleasureable experience with MotorProvider at Sheffield. Searched the internet and trowled through the newspapers and dealer for a Brand New megance Dynamique convertible but need a certain colour. Called into them at Sheffield and they had plenty to view but not the colour I wanted, But they had one coming through in 6 weeks , 4 weeks later had a call to say it arrived. Now driving it and very happy with the wole experience would recommend to every one. Oh saved £6000 on the retail price. ...

...car over the phone went to collect from there Sheffield showroom and good new didnt pay for it until I was driving it away. Very reasuring to see people like the daily telegraph , autocar and others recommending them .
