Taxing your vehicle the easy way

Advantages: Quick, easy all you need to do is pay!
Disadvantages: All your paperwork needs to be in order

. You can use the service from the 15th day of the month in which your current licence expires and can pay by credit or debit card although they do make a charge of £2.50 if you want to use your credit card! The big advantage from my point of view is that I don't have to make my way to the Post Office and queue up with everyone else waiting to renew their tax disc at the end of February. To be honest it is probably the only time I go into a Post Office and it just isn't convenient as I live in a rural are and we lost our Post Office years ago. So how easy is it to do? Road tax the evils of the all knowing computer

Advantages: simple and quick
Disadvantages: doesnt alway work out that way

So today I had to call my former work place again to see if my tax disc had been delivered to them, and after I spoke to my old workmates and the DVLA themselves I decided it was time to tell other people about the terrible service I have recieved from the DVLA. As happens to many people I didn't have chance to go to the Post Office when my road tax was coming up for renewal, so Iogged on and used their website. The process itself is simple, you need the 16 digit reference they send you through the post, the car must also be insured and have a valid new style MOT. Got those ok next you have to enter the 16 digit number and your car registration number, they use these to check that you are taxing the right car. Finally once they have confirmed that the car is insured and MOT'ed you get to choose which Tax option you want 6 or 12 ...

Carbon Fibre, light weight.. Lighter wallet too.

Advantages: Lightweight, high quality tripod.
Disadvantages: Expensive.

Manfrotto have long had a reputation amongst professional and serious amateur photographers for making high quality items for the photographic and film production industry. Their range is huge, and includes things that many people have never even though of, but someone, somewhere has created a need for. Manfrotto have numerous product ranges, covering tripods for many varied purposes, and one of these ranges is the 'Carbon No 1' range, which currently consists of 5 tripods, and one monopod, the tube sections of which are made from carbon fibre, and the metal fittings largely magnesium alloy. The choice of materials has reduced the weight of these camera supports by approximately 30% when compared to a similar item made from aluminium alloy. The legs are 'unfinished' carbon fibre, so you can still see the 'weave' pattern ...
