it holds 2.2 litre oil .yes it does but when you lower the basket in it hardly touched the oil.it is surposed to have a 1.2 kg food capacity which i find it hard to believe.there is 5 of us in my house .who wants to stand there for ages cooking 5 lots of chips.with the basket being a lot bigger than i had with my last fryer i thought it would hold more but it doesnt.it has a Adjustable thermostat control witch is ok and simple to use.it has a Safety rise and fall basket which is ok when you get the hang of it.its got a little ledge on which you angle the basket on .if you dont do it right the ...
