I have had my Mousetrap games for so long I cannot really remember where or when I bought it but it rarely gets played much nowadays. My granddaughter used to enjoy playing with this lovely game when she stayed over at my house but I think she has outgrown it now because she rarely asks to get it down out of the cupboard. The box is a little bit battered and worn now but all of the pieces are still there.

This is a fiddly game to set up and this is what aggravates me about it but once it is set up it is fun but more for smaller and younger children, I find. It is good fun for all of the family to play though on rainy days and during bad weather and school holidays when all ideas have run out. The pieces are large for little children to manage and nice and colourful, I find and appealing for them.

The point of the game is to take turns to build the mousetrap. The game has got marbles and plastic cheese and plastic mice and all the bits and pieces that are needed to make up the complicated mousetrap. You have to take your turn against the other players as you go around the board. It is a lot of fun and better if played on a table rather than on the floor like my granddaughter used to like to do. It is suitable for ages five years and upwards.

The winner of the game is the last mouse left and you have to move around the board to collect the cheesy pieces. It is a very entertaining game and my granddaughter used to love it when she was younger and so did I. It kept us happy and amused for long periods of times when I was minding her.

It is a lovely game for all of the family and nice and old fashioned, I think and I recommend it to you.

This is an excitingly funny game for 2-4 players aged 6 years plus. Each player has a mouse and moves round the board on the throw of the dice...
