Using Bonjela Can Be Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Advantages: Works Well Disadvantages: Expensive
...a relatively new product from Bonjela called Cool Gel and I now always have a tube handy in my medicine cabinet just in case. The product itself was purchased from my local chemist which I thought was quite an expensive buy at a whopping £2.55 for a 15mg tube!!! You can't put a price on relieving a child's discomfort though. It comes packaged in a distinctive blue box which states that the product is New Bonjela Cool Gel which contains the active ... ...massage about one centimetre of bonjela onto the sore area. This can be repeated after 3 hours. For denture sores massage one centimetre onto the sore area and leave for at least 30 minutes before reinserting the dentures. The Cool Gel should not be applied directly onto the dentures. In children massage one half of a centimetre of the gel onto affected area. This can be repeated after 3 hours. However no more than six doses are to be given in a ...

I Trust it
Advantages: Cool and soothing Disadvantages: Side effects for some age groups rarely
...am of course talking about Bonjela which has no been used for over forty years in the treatment of mouth ulcers for over 40 years so I was slightly shocked when visited the website whilst researching some info for this review. I found the following information posted on its homepage.
Important New Advice on the use of topical choline salicylates
in children under 16
23rd April 2009 There is new advice from the Medicines and Healthcare products ... ...the main active ingredient in Bonjela and Bonjela cool mint gel - should no longer be used by children under the age of 16. This advice is purely precautionary because of a theoretical risk. There are no new safety concerns. Bonjela and Bonjela cool mint gel continue to be suitable and effective treatments for mouth ulcers in adults and adolescents 16 years or over. Parents whose children have previously used the products can be assured that there ...

Iglu - It really does stay put - great new product to the market!
Advantages: Stays put and does protect the ulcer from irritation . Easy to apply . Disadvantages: Does bond lips together when you are asleep if you put too much on !
I suffer every month from mouth ulcers...one of the joys of being a women! I have tried everything to ease the pain and reduce inflammation. Bonjela tastes great, but it lasts all of a few seconds, Anbesol both the cream and the liquid is the same...there are loads out there to try. I bought Iglu from Tesco the other night to give it a try after seeing the adverts on TV. It is best to use a cotton bud to apply it and not put too much on, but it does ... ...irritation and also inflammation. It doesn't taste much, slightly minty. It kind of sets from being a paste to forming a barrier over the ulcer and stays there for a while, depending on whether you eat or drink. This will reduce the time it holds for. It is good to put it on before you go to bed, as it is still there sometimes in the morning when you wake up. Although it has bonded my lips together a few times in the night!! But at least that displays ...

Hurts like hell but Anbesol rules
Advantages: Works like a treat, Disadvantages: Hurts when first applied, bottle is too small
...to do with your mouth. Anbesol was recommended to me by a friend after I moaned about mouth ulcers (horrible I know but everyone gets them) and I was a little bit wary of using it as it looks more like a of poison than a onitment in the little glass bottle it comes in. The anbesol is priced around £3 in most pharmacies and is well worthy of the investment. Upon opening the bottle the anbesol does not smell the nicest of products and I guess thats ... ...with my finger/cotton bud it absolutely stings like hell on the ulcer so much so you often want to swill your mouth out with water. The liquid numbs the pain of the ulcer for hours and within two days of use, my ulcer that was there for ages had gone. Now I dont hesitate to reach for the little bottle that will cause so much pain. Well worth grinning and bearing the pain. Top Notch ...

Superb at getting rid of mouth ulcers
Advantages: reduced amount of throat infection Disadvantages: none of note
...infection. I now use the oraldene instead and after a few days the throat infections resolve themselves. I also try and use the mouth wash as soon as I recognise the symptoms starting and I do find that the number of infections has decresead significantly. I find the product reasonable priced compared to other products on the markets and would certainly recommend it to friends and family. ...
