I've no means to prove or disprove this claim, but judging by the impact it has when used, such a fact wouldn't surprise me. My only real criticism of it is that it can be quite expensive. At around between £2 and £3, the quantity available is a bit small. Nonetheless, this is a product I would certainly recommend for those who want to leave their bathrooms ...

Review of Listerine Freshburst Antibacterial Mouthwash

A bit sharp but still worth a try

Advantages: Seems effective, can be used straight after brushing (unlike some), pretty cheap
Disadvantages: A bit sharp & slightly awkward to measure the amounts

...this one (and presumably all Listerine mouth washes), it directs you to pour 20 ml (ie. 4 x 5ml teaspoons) into a cup and then swill it around your mouth, gargle (if you can without swallowing it!) and spit out after 30 seconds, twice a day, in the morning and evening after brushing, which is apparently when its most effective. Some like it hot!

Advantages: fresh breath, protection for sensitive teeth
Disadvantages: very hot

An unforgetable mouthwash

Advantages: Fresh breath, reduces tartar and placue, kills bacteria
Disadvantages: So strong, that I hardly survived lol

Review of Listerine Stay White Antibacterial Mouthwash

great product, shame about the bottle

Advantages: nice mouthwash, plenty of flavours
Disadvantages: badly designed packaging

I use this mouthwash all the time - partly because I don't much like peppermint and they do a clove flavour and partly just because it's a good product. But there are two major problems with the packaging. One is that it's extremely difficult to break the seal and open the bottle for the first time. I always have to ask my partner to do it. The other is that the shape of the bottle is totally inappropriate. When it's full you can shake it and the ...
...the bottle up the right way to pour and - if you're lucky - managed to open it, the liquids have separated again. Once you've used up about a third of the contents this is no longer a problem, but by then you've used up most of the liquid that sits at the top. A radical redesign is needed, or perhaps they could just homogenise the product, like full-cream milk. Presumably the need to mix the liquids is only a gimmick anyway? ...
