Sorting out my manky teeth!
Advantages: Is strong, perfect for my situation. Disadvantages: Maybe too strong for some.
After never having any problem with my teeth, I have suddenly discovered the joy that is wisdom teeth, and the fact that have all come through at the same time and now have to be removed! Oh joy!
There is one particular tooth that is causing me problems, that being the one that has only just broken through the gum, but still has a flap of gum covering one side of it.
This being the case there is very often an accumulation of food that gathers below ... ...too!
I have worked out that giving it a good pick and brush definitely helps, but I have found I need a strong mouthwash to make me feel confident that I am removing as much bacteria as possible, the bacteria build up being a concern too, I have avoided an infection so far, but it is just a matter of time.
I decided that I would try Asda’s own branded mouthwash for the simple reason that it is considerably cheaper than many of the other better ...

Only Listermint and I know my little secret
Advantages: Leaves mouth feeling tingly fresh Disadvantages: Tastes vile
...criteria in my choice of Listermint – the price and whether or not it contains fluoride. After all I am a student and the choice of most goods is dictated primarily by price. However, I have never forgotten one of my primary school teachers advocating the benefits of fluoride, and since I could both freshen my breath for the weekend as well as protecting my teeth, well, that’s a 2-for-1 and there’s nothing like a bargain to put me in a good mood.
... ...SMELL
The smell of Listermint is extremely off-putting. If I just mention the word “dentist” I imagine most people will get the idea. Yes, it smells exactly like that pink stuff you used to be given to rinse your mouth out with after having moulds taken with your braces. For those of you fortunate enough to have never experienced this pink goo it is a pungent, cloying, sickly disinfectant smell which is only partially compensated for by the addition ...

European Cats Pee For Oral Hygiene
Advantages: It's cheap and easy to come by if you shop at Asda. Disadvantages: The awful smell and taste, it's not something I'd want to put in my mouth again.
...As we were in an Asda store, buying a few essentials (wine and beer) for our friends with whom we were staying, I plonked a bottle in my basket. I always use it every night, honest.
I've got this thing, you see, about a nice fresh mouth and clean teeth (along with handsome hands). If I meet someone new, male or female, I always check this out, in a discreet way of course. I don't wrench open their mouth and peer inside, or anything like that. I ... ...produced in the EU for Asda Stores Limited'. Strewth, they actually import it! Now let's think, what country doesn't like the UK very much and would enjoy the thought of us swilling our mouths with feline enhanced water? Several probably. At least they do the decent thing by saying that this shouldn't be used by children under 12 years and should be kept out of the reach of kids in general. Very wise. It's also got a safety cap that needs a good ...

great product, shame about the bottle
Advantages: nice mouthwash, plenty of flavours Disadvantages: badly designed packaging
I use this mouthwash all the time - partly because I don't much like peppermint and they do a clove flavour and partly just because it's a good product. But there are two major problems with the packaging. One is that it's extremely difficult to break the seal and open the bottle for the first time. I always have to ask my partner to do it. The other is that the shape of the bottle is totally inappropriate. When it's full you can shake it and the ... ...the bottle up the right way to pour and - if you're lucky - managed to open it, the liquids have separated again. Once you've used up about a third of the contents this is no longer a problem, but by then you've used up most of the liquid that sits at the top. A radical redesign is needed, or perhaps they could just homogenise the product, like full-cream milk. Presumably the need to mix the liquids is only a gimmick anyway? ...

Zingy Tasting Mouthwash!
Advantages: In my opinion, it feels much tinglier and mintier than other top brands Disadvantages: none that I found
I first came across Colgate Mouthwash when I did a survey on it for a survey company. I had to test it for a week, and then give my opinion on it. I am never sure what to expect when I do these reviews, some are abyssmal, some are exceptional, so I went into it with an open mind. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Both my husband and I used it for a week initially, and we were both delighted with it. We already use Colgate tooth paste, so thought ... ...was just a drop left. We tested each others breath, and both of us commented on how fresh our breaths were. I have decided to regularly purchase Colgate mouthwash as the price is comparable with other top brand mouthwashes, and because it fits in well with Colgate toothpaste. ...
