Advantages: Great social life, friendly and very helpful Disadvantages: University Campus can be quite far apart.
...I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2005 where I did my degree, I loved it that much I went back to do a professional post-graduate course and will finish this in June of this year. Although I will be extremly pleased to be finishing my education I will sadly miss the university. they have great opportunites for students. They advertise all there events etc within the campus' and libraries, they also advertise in the students union and send out regular emails letting everyone now what events are happening and where and when they will take place.
The university itself has alot of campus centres which is not so great as they are scattered around the town in various locations with some not being so easy to get to. Yes they do provide transport to and from the centres on a regular day to day basis.

...Liverpool John Moores University is a fairly new university which specialises in business. It is one of the top busines schools in the UK with many different business courses to choose from. The business school is located right in the city centre between the two cathedrals and is housed in a converted nunery and on the same site as the students union. The teaching staff are excellent. However, if you want to see them outside lesson time then they are hard to find but they will always reply to any e-mails in which you send to them. The accomondation in Liverpool is second to none with halls of residence located right in the city centre (North Western Halls and Grand Central to name two).
