I have often watched James Bond in all his various guises (Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Sean, Timothy Dalton, oh - have I mentioned Sean yet! ...can! Like our intrepid hero (007), Mr. Muscle ("M" from here on!) often turns up when Joe Normal can't handle the jobs that really require a guy who is tough but smooth.
