Advantages: Healthy Disadvantages: Cost, kid's pleasure
I always put quite a weighting when judging healthy products on my kids opinions of the product. Basically, they on the whole enjoy stuff, like the rest of use, that is bad for them. Like the dutiful parent a regularly tempt them with a range of healthy alternatives and every now and again I strike lucky with one they like. Sadl, not this time. The small juice bottle is always derided in favour of larger Americanised juice containers so that was ......... at 60p for a tiny shot it didn't seem great value for money. I didn't mind the taste ... certainly nothing to get excited about but not too bad. The drink is bright purple and contains 'pith' in a marketing grab to make you real feel like you are drinking real fruit. (Which by the way, judging by the label you are.) The kids however really did not like this juice. Too sweet, sharp and a hundred other complaints. Don't get me wrong ... I encouraged ... Read review

...to the UK drink’s market, Ocean Spray White Cranberry and Grape Juice Drink. So why am I reviewing this particular drink? Well like a lot of people, I was intrigued by the idea of white cranberries and wanted to see what they tasted like. What’s more, I like grape and so opted for this particular flavour. However, if you don’t like the sound of this, you could always try one of the other flavours – White Cranberry and Peach and White Cranberry and ......then. To sum up, Ocean Spray White Cranberry and Grape Juice is a refreshing, fruity drink that will appeal to all ages. 1.5 litre bottles cost around £1.49, which is good value for money, and are available in all major supermarkets. Well after watching numerous programmes about having 5 a day and being told from a very young age that fruit is good for you I decided to purchase this drink from Tesco's which cost £0.79 The first thing I noticed was the picture of the fruits on the front so I decided to pick it up and actually read what was in it and I was very suprised to find that it had; Orange, Pineapple, Lemon, Apricot, Passion Fruit, Mango, Mandarin, Kiwi, Guava, Papaya ......Anyway after working out that I liked every single fruit bar Kiwi fruits I decided to buy it as I don't like the kiwi pips and I didn't suppose there would be any. Much to my delight it was a smooth fruity texture more of a fruit juice than a smoothie. ***** THE PRODUCT ***** Well it is an exotic fruit juice made from all the juices above but mainly you can taste the orange, pineapple, Mango and Banana although the reverse of the packaging claims ... ...I spotted an offer on PJ Smoothies and selected a 1 litre bottle of PJ Blue and Black Smoothie which set me back £1.86 (full price of £2.49). Not really a bad price when compared to wine and it promised on the label it was a blackcurrant and blueberry smoothie (hence 'Black and Blue') which had the said respective 'pert' fruits getting 'jiggy' in here i.e. the bottle. Proclaimed also on the bottle is the fact that PJ Smoothies have been the 'Original ......PJ Smoothies have been owned since 2005 by the huge multinational corporation Pepsico who also own Quakers, Walkers and Gatorade amongst other brands. I am unsure of the ethical character of Pepsico but I felt that it was relevant to let this fact be known. In addition the label states it is Vegetarian Society approved (one who hope so for a fruit smoothie) and if you want to contact PJ Smoothies for any reason they can be found on 0800 783 3851. ...
