HP C4480 Printer - Great all-rounder
Advantages: High text and image print quality; prints, scans and copies; good value for money Disadvantages: Not got wireless; software is a bit complicated
...simple - this printer takes HP 350 black ink cartridges, and HP 351 tri-colour ink cartridges. These are also available in 'XL' sizes, which provide a lot more ink for your money - really good value. Special HP 348 photo cartridges are also available, for those wanting to print high-quality images. The front flap folds in completely flush with the rest of the printer, which is great for saving space when it's out of use. Whilst the printer offers ... ...I personally really need. HP is a really reliable brand, who offers good customer support should you experience any problems. In all, this is a brilliant, compact printer, which does everything you might want it to. And, for the price, you could not get much better. Mine has coped well with quite heavy use, proving it is reliable. Print quality is great, and it is so quick and easy to use. I recommend this printer for anyone wanting to print high-quality ...

Epson Stylus Photo PX700w / PX710W Multifunctional Printer
Advantages: Excellent Quality Photos - Easy Controls -Excellent Price - Wi Fi - Good Looking. Disadvantages: Poor print in draft mode ( easily overcome) - paper drawer seems a bit flimsy.
The Epson Stylus Photo PX710W Multifunctional Printer is, according to Epson themselves, a so-called refresh model of the earlier PX700w model. To begin with,i want to point out the following :- While searching for the Epson PX700W (price at Epson £149.99) i found that it was being discontinued at most outlets and replaced by the PX710W refresh model,(priced at £199.95 at Epson) On comparing the Technical Specifications between each of the models ... ...the 2 models,so i contacted Epson to ask what the difference was between the models, they replied that the PX710W was a refresh model with a slightly faster print speed.WRONG,WRONG,WRONG !!!. There was absolutely no difference at all between the 2 models in any of the Technical Specifications. I contacted Epson again to point this out and they IMMEDIATELY dropped the price of the PX710W model on their site by £50 down to £149.95.It had been a TOTAL ...

EPSON Stylus SX515W - stylish, capable but not perfect
Advantages: Stylish, fast printing, quality output, good range of functions Disadvantages: A bit noisy, poor manuals
...I decided to purchase the Epson SX515W as it looked good, had all the features I wanted and was a good price.
Installation
The salesman advised me to set it up on the desktop initially as it would be hard wired via USB. If you hear this don't let it put you off. The set-up works fine even if you have a single laptop but you must ensure the printer is connected to it via USB when the initial printer setup is carried out.
Anyhow, I set the ... ...documents are very quick and clear. Photographs when printed on photo paper are incredible ! Just as good as anything from a shop.
I only had one problem which was not a fault with the printer but I will mention it. I initially couldn't get wireless printing to work. It turned out it was my firewall blocking the request being sent to the printer. I had to manually change my BitDefender settings to allow it to work and its been ok since. As I say, ...

Canon MP620 All in one Printer
Advantages: Excellent Phot prints, excellent scanning, wireless capability Disadvantages: Slightly bulky, wireless can be tricky to set up
...around and came across the Canon MP620. It seemed to have all the features I was after including scanning, printing, card reader, photocopyer and wireless networking. Please note there are 2 other similar models in the range and as far as I know the MP610 is older and not wireless but slightly cheaper. Alternatively the MP630, which is more expensive is also not wireless but is faster in producing more prints per minute.
So far, since using it I ... ...printer. Great quality prints and excellent scanning makes it perfect for my needs. The wireless networking took a little time to setup and you may struggle if you don't know your way around your firewalls. However, you may be lucky and have a techy friend who can help. This printer, which costs around £100 is definitely the best in it's price range in comparison to it's competitors by Epson and HP. I find the 5 ink cartridge system is good for keeping ...

I think the Lexmark X4650 is an excellent piece of equipment.
Advantages: Light, easy to set up and use. Fast printing and easy to change ink cartridges. Disadvantages: None that I can find.
I recently purchased my Lexmark X4650 from Tesco. They were offering it at £59.95, which was reduced from £125. So that was an incredible saving.
The setup of the machine was very straighforward and simple and it was up and running within 10 minutes.
It seems to print much faster than my old Lexmark and the "wireless" connection means that it is tidier in my office as it only requires a supply cable.
It comes with a "Lexmark Productivity Studio" ...
