Kodak ESP3 AIO (all In One)
Advantages: Fast printing, very good quality, cheap cartridges, fast card reader, good scanner Disadvantages: Fairly noisy when you start it and shut down, consumes ink very fast so it costs more.
I have just purchased this printer. Was delivered yesterday and I was so excited I wanted to put it to work straight away, but I was concerned with the fact that some people had not rated it well, yet I had seen demonstrations on the TV and internet pointing out all the benefits for buying this printer. Well this is my experience and I tell it how I see it. The printer came well packed and with very good instructions on how to install it, also I ... ...trouble free. So you must take it out of the box remove all packaging and all sticky tapes attached to the lids and other opening also you must remove packaging from the cartridge cradle and click it into place as well as remove also the packaging from each cartridge and click it into place. Then firstly I install the CD (make sure to check is the one for your operating system (Windows or Mac) once installation is near completion it will ask you ...

Buy The Kodak ESP 5250 - Save Money & Get Great Photos
Advantages: Ultra Simple Set Up, Cheap Running Costs, Nice Looking Unit, Great Scanner Software Disadvantages: Noisy at start up
...was sceptical about buying a Kodak ESP as although the promise of extremely cheap printing is a big draw I had read a few horror stories but I decided to buy one after a bit more reading and I must say I’m really impressed. I wouldn't say I’m a heavy print user but I do print a few documents out for work every week and my partner prints photos quite often too. The easy set up and usage is something I haven't been use to with printers but the ESP ... ...loading and the software was installed and ready to go after 5 minutes. My partner is also tends to get into trouble with things like this as beyond Facebook she is a bit of a worry with these sorts of things but I can leave her, on her own to select and print photos and I haven't yet had to come and help her. The ink does seem to go very far and for £17 for a full refill of black and colour, that is nothing to grumble at. Best results do some with ...

HP C4180 All in One Printer & Scanner - Not Recommended
Advantages: Cheapish Disadvantages: Costs a fortune to run
Pros: Cheapish all in one printer & scanner.
Reasonably small & compact.
Cute little LCD dispay but so small you can't get much detail
Cons: Photo paper keeps jamming.
The photo paper tray has never allowed the paper feed to operate correctly first time.
Printer paper keeps going in 5 or more at a time & jamming.
Ink costs a fortune.
Paper goes in at an angle if not lined up perfectly.
Fiddly to operate.
If paper gets jammed you need to ...

Canon Pixma MP190 Good value, decent Printer
Advantages: Very good price, good print quality Disadvantages: Does not come with USB cable to connect to computer.
I have just bought and finished installing this printer, so I have decided to share my views on it. I bought it at the local Tesco Extra, after some research I found that they offered it at the lowest price, at £30. I also got 10% as they only had the display one left in store. However, as I bought it in store I did not get free delivery and had to carry it the 2 miles home, something I wont recommend if your arms get tired easily. It comes in a ... ...rattle about in the box. You are provided with the Pixma MP190 printer, 2 ink cartridges (one black and one colour), setup CD-ROM, Printed documents and a power cord. You will need to buy a separate USB cable to connect the printer to your laptop or PC, something I found out to my annoyance after carrying it all the way home and excited to get started. However, you can get USB cables fairly cheaply, I got one locally at a pound store for 99 pence. ...

Brilliant multifunctional printer / scanner
Advantages: Good value, reliable, stylish and reasonable quality Disadvantages: Suspect ICs on the ink cartridges
Bought this printer a few years ago, I wanted a device that would scan, photo copy, print documents and photos. The device uses 5 ink cartridges Big black for mono printing, then yellow, blue , red and wee black for colour and photo printing. This prevents the printer using all three colours to print black. Cartridges are reasonable at around £8 and I only need to change one at time every other month. One issue was the ICs on the cartridges, after ... ...to be replaced. The printer will warn for a few more prints then it will stop printing until the cartridge is replaced. This is very frustrating as you can see the cartridge clearly has ink but the chip says it’s done. Also if it is a colour cartridge you still cannot print mono!!! I found a work around this, you can disable this ink monitoring function that ignores the chips, this nearly double the life of the cartridges. The only thing, it is up ...
