Munchkins, Many Many Many Munchkins!

Advantages: Great fun, easy to play
Disadvantages: A touch expensive, the original will be lost on non-gamers

I've decided to do a review of this game because I noted that the existing reviews concentrate on the original Munchkin game, with little or no mention of the more recent incarnations, which ought to have a wider appeal. So let's get stuck in... UPDATE: I decided to update this as I now have some information to go in the 'Munchkin Bites' and 'Mix them up' sections and some extra information for the 'Expansion kits' section. I won't attempt to keep you abreast of all Munchkinly developments as this review is already quite long enough, so this may well be my first and last update here. WHAT IS IT? Review of Munchkin

Beware : Rampaging Munchkins!

Advantages: Fast to learn and play. Fun.
Disadvantages: Poor value for money and production values.

Munchkin Munchkin is another light Steve Jackson Games product that is fun, but quite shallow. It took me back to when I first started playing Dungeons and Dragons 23 years ago. Games then comprised of running round dungeons killing as many monsters as possible and hoarding all that nice treasure. Ahhh, the old days. Nostalgia ain’t what it used to be. The object is to Invade a dungeon, kick doors down, kill anything that moves, collect booty, and be the first player to reach level 10! The game plays as simple as that. It comprises of 2 decks of cards, Dungeon cards and Treasure cards. Each player starts off with 2 cards from each deck. Review of Munchkin

Supah Munchkin!

Advantages: An awesome game, fun to play over and over again.
Disadvantages: Complicated at first.

Kill the Monsters. Steal the Treasure. Stab your Buddy. A good overview of the game. Despite being slightly overprived, Munchkins is a good replacement for regular boardgames, and you can play it on the go (just expect it to get very messy). Basically its played with cards. You kill monsters and you get treasure. The fun thing about the games is that you can choose to help your friends or to play against them. Of course, when it's your turn, you can expect them to be mean back to you. Another good thing about Munchkins is that they have booster packs. You can add on to the rest of your cards with quirky changes which make gameplay entirely different. However, once you have the original Munchkin, I reccomend that you do not buy any of the other ones (e.g. Munchkin Cthulu), because they are all the same, it's just that ...
