reading the 5 day riot :D
Review of Reading (England) by sambridge15

Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: hard to get tickets having to wait a year for next 1

well i got my ticket 2 days before the festival from a tout so i had non of the build up because i didnt think i was going. Many of my friends however had tickets so i payed 200£ and went .It was the best weekends ever !!! now the bbc shows it as some fit blonde and her mates sitting on the grass with some indie music in the background with nice sunny skys looking clean. In reality its basicly a 5 day riot of unwashed drunk drugged up teens with some ...
...When we got there it was a bit scary a loud noise of cheers geting closer tuned out to just be 100000 people screeming "bollocks" in a way like the mexican wave .Space was hard to find but we set up camp in brown camp made a few new friends .musicly the lineup was not to my liking with only around 5 good bands there over the weeknd in my opinion but the atmosphere was amazing lost profits best band live band of the weekend. camping and the people ... Great but come prepared
Review of Party In The Park (London) by sweetfi

Advantages: its fun, get to meet other fans like yourself and
Disadvantages: very crowded, expensive and tiring

...what can i say about party in the park 2002 its was great unbelievably great but my feet didnt think so by the end of the 11 hrs of pure standing up. So the wednesday before party in the park me and my partner decide we want to go so we put in a bid for it with ebay and yes we get them for the price of £55 we didnt know wether or not that was a good price at the time but we paid it,we later found out the price wasnt too bad seeing as the man we ...
...so we paid £5 over the normal price which i dont think is too bad seeing as we didnt get them until a day before it, and so forth we went to Hyde park for 8:30 am in the morning to be greated my 100,000 others also waiting in line, crowd control was very good out side, police on horses etc sniffer dogs finding the odd spotty teenagers stash but there was no pushing and shoving which was i was expecting to be prefectly honest, so thne there was the ... From a Festival Virgin
Review of T In The Park (Scotland) by lucie-C

Advantages: sound quality/variety
Disadvantages: cramped camping & litter

As a festival virgin I was pretty anxious about the whole experience. I was particularly worried about the washing and toilet facilities due to the horror stories that I'd heard and read about. I remained pleasantly surprised the whole weekend. The campsites were pretty crowded but to the envy of my friends I was safely tucked away in one of the staff sites which were clean, quiet and friendly. I wasn't impressed by the headliners but found the tents ... Read review

V2001. My experiences and review.
Review of V2000 (Chelmsford, England) by andycharger

Advantages: a good way to see your favourites
Disadvantages: Line up clashes

V2001... What a weekend it was for all of the festivalgoers that trekked around in the mud for 2 days in Hylands Park in Chelmsford. I myself attended this festival for the 1st time this year. Unusual you may think because I am an actual Chelmsford resident so the festival is right on my doorstep. Here is a review and a guide to the show, what was on, how to get there and other general talking points. V2001. Hosted by Virgin, the V shows bring ...
...and put them on 2 stages and various tents. The shows have got bigger and bigger for the last 6 years. It is held in 2 locations: Hylands Park, Chelmsford. Weston Park, Leeds. I attended the Chelmsford one. How to get there? ----------------- It’s very well signposted from all roads in the town. From London, head up the A12 towards Ipswich. Just before Chelmsford, you are signposted off along the A1016 towards the Park. There is a ... Read review

Rock Werchter rocks
Review of Werchter (Belgium) by duskmaiden

Advantages: great line up, good value for money, good organisation
Disadvantages: tokens for everything, smallish site and stages too close together

...thought of going to Rock Werchter in Belgium? It is a four day music festival that takes place a few kilometrres outside of the Belgian university town of Leuven at the end of June. I went this year and can thoroughly recommend it. There was a number of factors why we decided to go to Werchter. I am a fairly experienced festival goer having attended all the major British festivals apart from V. My partner Duskman has bean to a couple of continental ...
...by them. We decided on Werchter as it is not too far to travel from London, had a very good line up, and the dates fitted in with my work schedule. TICKETS You may think it would be more expensive to go to a festival aboard but it is not that much dearer at all. In fact the tickets are cheaper. A combined ticket for the full four days cost 160 euros which is about £108. Camping is 20 euros extra. Thus the total cost of tickets and camping works ... Read review
