Advantages: All the plots in advance, must read! Disadvantages: Some people don't like the spoilers, too many adverts
Inside Soap Magazine is an absolute must for any soap fan! It gives you all the information you could need on upcoming plots that you just can't wait till it's aired to find out about. It's also great if you're going away or unable to watch the shows, so you can still catch up on everything that has happened. Inside Soap has all the plots and a 7 day TV guide a week in advance, which can be annoying that you have to keep the previous weeks magazine ......you can buy it from; inside gossip, kiss and telly, films/books etc realised that week; puzzles and competitions; horoscopes relating to soap stars; letters and request spot, where you can write in and ask questions about soaps, e.g a character you recognise from other soap but can't quite think what else they have been in; and times of our life, which is a look back at a previous issue of the magazine. The contents page is divided into 7 sections ... Read review

Heat magazine has now been around for quite some time. Its strapline claims “this week’s hottest celebrity news”. Some people may agree with this, but some may not and I’ll try to explain why later on in this review. This is one magazine that has resisted the temptation so far, to bring out a “handbag size” version, in the way that Glamour and Cosmopolitan have done. This is a BIG publication that is extremely glossy and full of enchanting and not ......listing on Page 3 of Heat broken down into the headline stories from this week, and including regular content such as Letters, Breaking News, Week in Pictures, Scandal and Interviews. Personally, one of the things that delights me about Heat magazine is that it doesn’t take itself or celebrities too seriously. It’s not about designer labels, money, glitz and glamour. It adds bucket loads of humour and takes a light hearted look at the world of celebrity. ... Read review
Advantages: great images, cartoon and keeps you up to date! Disadvantages: focusing on the same bands too much sometimes
For the last year or so.. I have been reading Kerrang! I started by reading an issue every so often... but now I have the magazine on subscription. Why did my interest increase? As my interest in the music featured increased, so did my reading. The articles were easy to read and were interesting - not just same old gossip pages like those in other magazines. Also the magazine reviews gigs and albums. These reviews make you feel like you were actually ......their gig next time their on tour". Furthermore, there is the Pandora Cartoon strip. Everyweek Pandora (and sometimes Web the work experience girl) has an adventure with the musicians featured in the issue the week before. These adventures are interesting and/or very funny. As well as all the gig coverage.. you are kept up to date with new single releases - so even if you havn't been able to listen to the radio or watch a music channel etc. you ... Read review
Advantages: Extremely informative Disadvantages: A bit snobbish in parts
Empire Magazine is a monthly collection of articles regarding almost everything to do with the world of cinema. It may be slightly difficult to keep this a review to all copies of Empire, what with change of editors and so forth, but for the most part they always adhere to a few core sections and maintain a respectfully high standard. The publication has a simple cover. Whatever the big movie is, they'll choose the most recognizable image and plaster ......Much like the movie theatres, Empire suffers from grotesque amounts of advertising, but unlike glossies like FHM they don't concern looking fashionable or enlarging certain appendages. All of them are Empire related, mostly up and coming DVDs of either films or TV series. They're usually related to whatever section they've just followed so they're less a burden and more a blessing. The contents section covers two pages. The first bears the title ... Read review
