a very small device ? what do you expect for this price?? The beauty of the camera is that you can shoot spontaneous video, replay it immediately (with sound) on the reasonable quality LCD screen, then keep it on memory to load onto to your PC, watch it on your TV or delete it immediately. Blimey! What a lot for your dosh. I also spent some time loading MP3 music tracks onto the Mustek DV5000 from my PC (this is just a matter of opening the relevant windows and dragging and dropping). They play via the external speaker (which isn?t very loud) or the headphones (supplied) which is fine. We will continue to play with this amazing little device for some time yet and I will add any new thoughts to this review as and when they occur. Review of Mustek DV 5000

Mustek magic

Advantages: good quality, fast, cheap
Disadvantages: very average software, high resolution causes system crashes

Mustek 600 CPs scanners are a very good buy. I bought mine for less than £30 and it was worth every penny. The scan quality is excellent and it is fast and easy to use. It scans photos and postcards very, very well but it tends to struggle with magazines and newspapers which reflects the quality of these publications. It takes typically two to three minutes to scan a photograph in 600 dpi. This quality setting gives crystal clear scans at the same size as the source but when a bigger bitmap is required it may need a higher quality setting which can cause crashes. You would be well advised to simply download the drivers from Mustek.com rather than use the software CD, as the scans work better and you can choose to use only Paint Shop Pro or similar for your image editing. Review of Mustek 600 CP

You Mustek buy this one!

Advantages: Nice Size Screen, good price, lots of the parts made by Sony
Disadvantages: sound play back can be below avg on some dvd's

I have owned my Mustek PL-207 for 3 months now, I paid only $220 dollars in the U.S.A. and that was with a free film working out to around 105 pounds. Prices have come down now in the UK so you can pick this amazing bargain up for around 30 pounds more than I paid and although this machine is far from perfect it's the best bit of kit on the market for the price and can whole heartedly recommend it!. Starting with the picture; I found it surprisingly good, I compared it with Panasonic and Goodmans models and it held its own against the Panasonic and beat the Goodmans hands down. The picture is crisp with good color saturation and only the bare minimum of ray trace. The Sound was a mixed bag and I found it to be clear with good stereo output but tended to play the back ground score at a far greater level to the vocal sounds which ...
